Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

My Tomato Plants

This morning was a mix of sun and clouds when I went walking.
58 degrees and a little windy.
Sunrise 5:49
Morning Walk Steps 13,097

Walked straight through town to the Dollar General.
It as been closed for the last couple of weeks because it
is being renovated.

Walked up and down the road behind the DG.

Then walked all around the industrial park.

Continued over to the street behind our old house to take a
look at how that neat and tidy garden was coming along.

Then back to the main road, continued through and out of town
down toward home, turned around and back to the Jeep.

By then the men were working on the siding at the church.
Things usually take a long time to get done but
this job is moving along quite fast.

Didn't see anyone else out walking but did wave to quite a few people
passing by in vehicles.

🌤     🥾    😊

Got a couple of loads of wash done and hung out on the line.

Our two tomato plants out on the back deck are growing nicely.

Ken harvested some more rock so he can finish the wall out back.
After he does that we can finish that section with the gravel.

Before lunch we took a quick trip over to the dump to get
rid of a few bags of trash.

Read a little, did a couple of crossword puzzles, and knitted.
Now that the pillow is done I'd like to get the small white
cotton throw finished.

Got the clothes off the line just in time before it started to rain.

Thanks for stopping by
Happy Wednesday

Looks like another great walk. The church is beautiful!
We have had lots of rain. We put out a rain gauge Monday and so far this week we have had 3 1/2 inches of rain.

How nice the church is looking. I love the steeple. Your picture yesterday of the fountain and church is beautiful. My tomato plants took a pretty good beating in a strong wind storm a few nights ago ~ hopefully they will recover enough to give us a few ripe tomatoes soon.

Your tomato plants are looking nice and sturdy. I hope you got enough rain so you won't have to water anything. We carried umbrellas but didn't end up needing them. Tomorrow it's back to sunshine for us and hopefully for you too.

That looks like a huge job residing that church. Your tomato plants look nice and healthy. I wish I would have gotten a plant or two this year. Nothing like a tomato fresh off the vine.

Lovely views on your walk yesterday. I'm always a day late visiting. Seems like the late afternoons and evenings get away from me. We could use a hefty load of gravel here but Greg is too busy working on our new shower. Have a good day!

Hi Karen. So glad you tomatoes are doing well. We have been so busy with moving and renovating our house that I haven't planted any although I had planned to. Oh well. Next year for sure. I love the picture of your wash hanging out on the line. I love how you have it right on your back deck. That makes it very convenient. I hope you have a good Thursday. See you again soon!

Home grown tomatoes are the absolute best.

We have had rain each day this week, so my tomatoes have had a growth spurt. Our DG was renovated a few years ago and it is much better.

Looks like you had a great walk today. Love the pictures you post, makes me feel like I'm walking with you. Nothing like a fresh tomato right off the vine, hope you get a good crop!!
