Morning Walk Steps 13,097
Started out walking around the lower cemetery and then
down the road towards home and back again.
Around the cemetery on the hill,
over to the big barn and down to the Drane house.
The garden by the Drane house.
Continued walking over to the ball park and walked the loop there
and then up and down the town streets.
Work continues with the siding on the church.
VBS is this week at the church but doesn't start until 9:00
and I'm back home before then.
Joy was out walking this morning.
What a wonderful morning for a walk.
🌤 🥾 🚶♀️ 😊
Got just the basic stuff done around the house and then went outside.
First we put plastic down and then gravel around by the BBQ/Pizza Oven.
The gravel will get darker once it rains.
Has a lot of dust on it.
We went in for lunch and then went to town and get another
roll of plastic at G&W so we could do this next section with gravel.
We got this much done so far.
Have to build the wall a little bit higher to hold in the gravel better.
Then we sat on the front porch awhile and had a cold drink.
This morning I put a whole bunch of chicken in the low cooker with
Zesty Italian Dressing and let it cook all day.
Shredded it and divided it up and put it in plastic bags to use
at a later date.
This evening we made chicken burritos which has become
one of my favorite suppers.
I have FINISHED the knitted pillow.
It turned out pretty good - better than I thought it would.
The pillow and knitting directions are
HERE.
Thanks for stopping by
Happy Monday

I like the neatness of the Drane house Garden. So organized probably not a weed in sight.
Cooking up enough chicken for several meals makes a lot of sense.
...when we own our nursery, we bought so much gravel. I often joked with the dealer that he sold gravel with potholes seeds in it. Keep smiling.
I've always wanted a garden like the Drane House garden but it never seems to work out that way for me.
Your gravel area is looking good. A lot of work though but once it's done, it's done.
That's some good hard work you are doing around the pizza oven. :) Looks nice.
Your first photo is my favorite; it is stunning!
What a pretty pillow... I love the color. The garden at the Drane house is one to aspire to... it's beautiful. Have a good week!
The Drane house and gardens are always a favorite when you share photos.
Your pizza oven is looking so good!
That garden is looking really good. All that gravel around your BBQ/pizza oven looks really nice.
What a nice pizza oven! Do you make your own dough? I want to start making pizza at home, but thought I might buy the pre-made dough if I can't find a simple recipe. Dough and I have a love/hate relationship :)
I went and bought some stones today too! I would love a pizza oven like that.
The Drane House garden looks pretty nice.
Your first photograph is beautiful.
Your gravel area is coming along nicely.
Wishing you happy days ahead.
All the best Jan
That looks like quite a project.
