Morning Walking Steps 13,441
First walked to the library and dropped off a DVD down the slot.
(Father Brown)
Then around both of the cemeteries, the ball park, and up
and down the main road and side streets.
The only other person out walking was a man walking his dog around the ball park.
Stopped to talk to Farmer Marvin again when I was walking by the cows.
This week they are all getting moved in to pastures.
I asked what he will be growing in the fields this year.
He told me corn but its not quite ready to plant yet - too wet!!
Yesterday morning on my walk I went up the hill to the school.
It had been a while since I walked up that way.
A building has been put up off to the side of the parking lot.
I looked in the window and looks like there are a couple of stalls
for animals. Maybe they will be raising a couple cows or horses.
Out of the other side a fence is being put up.
Also off the driveway a gravel path has been put in with lots
of little trees planted all along it.
I followed the path.
It ended up at the playground out back.
It will be nice to watch the trees grow.

The sun came out later in the morning and we had a beautiful sunny day.
I got the sheets washed and hung out to dry and they were
back on the bed again before lunch time.
Another load was washed and dried.
Filled the slow cooker with chili ingredients this morning
and made some corn bread to go with it which we had for supper.
I was busy all morning getting house stuff done and in the
afternoon went outside.
Picked up more deadfall to add to my fences and cut down some
more climbing sticker bushes.
There is a little stream out back and I spent some time playing
in it taking out leaves and sticks to make it flow better.
Ken had the weed wacker going helping with the sticker bushes.
Then it was time to sit on the porch with a nice cold drink.
The humming bird came by a couple of times.
Then just before supper time I got some reading and knitting done.
Another day went zooming by.
It was a good productive day.
Happy Monday
Thanks for stopping by.

Vee - I didn't know what mammatus clouds were so looked them up. The picture from yesterday sure does look like them.

...the barn is beautiful.
Wow, you sure packed a lot of stuff into one day. No wonder the day flew by with all you accomplished.
Lovely ๐
That was a pretty walk! I really like the trail you took.
That barn shot is very pretty too.
Everything there looks so new and well tended. The barns look like they have been recently painted, all the grounds are well kept. Around here, most of the barns are falling down or seriously in need of repairs.
A day well spent.
We enjoy sitting on the deck watching our hummingbird feeder.
You got lots done on a beautiful day.
I'm trying to catch up after several days of not getting around to blogs. We've worked so hard outside I just don't have the energy to do anything in the evening. Sounds like your Monday was a lovely day. We are having summer like weather here.
