Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

My Hutch

29 degrees this morning, calm with a mix of sun and clouds.
Sunrise 7:18
Walking Steps 12,588

Walked straight through town and over to the laundromat and
put up a flyer on the bulletin board for a church event.

From there I went back through town and around the cemetery
on top of the hill.
The sky was so pretty with a pink glow.

Then walked over to the ball park and then around
the other cemetery a couple of times.
The plot of land that sold across the street from the cemetery
has a little shed there.

One last trip up and down the main road and back to the Jeep.

On the way home I spotted the man from yesterday walking his dog.

David stopped by this morning for a little visit.

When he left we made a trip to the Shop and Save and picked
up some groceries.
Home to put everything away and then it was nearly lunch time.

After lunch I baked English Muffin Loaves.
(recipe makes 2)
We never buy the ones in the store any more.
The homemade ones are so good and easy to make.

Got tired of looking at my hutch with the same old stuff on it
so changed things around.
This is what it looks like now.

We bought the hutch back in 1980.
I had it a while and then my mom had it in her house for a while.
When my parents downsized and moved to a smaller house
it came back to me.
I had thought about painting it white but never did.
Watching Mary at White Cottage Company
I'm thinking about it again.
What do you think?

That's going to do it for today.
Hope your Tuesday was a good one.
Thanks for visiting.

Maybe I’m getting to the age when I’m starting to be senile
or nostalgic or both, but people are so angry now.
You used to be able to disagree with people and still be friends.
Now everyone who believes differently from you is a moron and an idiot –
both on the Right and the Left.

Is that Fiesta Ware on your hutch? Love the bright colours.

Sadly, Clint Eastwood is completely correct in that quote at the end. I think your hutch looks awesome - so bright and colorful! It looks good as it is, and it would look great white too. Beautiful sunrise pictures this morning! See you again soon.

...I love Fiesta Ware and your sunrise!

Beautiful hutch! I'm for painting it white! Do you make English Muffin BREAD? I've seen recipes for it on Pinterest, but have never tried them.

Never mind. I just found your recipe on your food blog. πŸ‘ŒπŸ₯°

I would never tire of looking at your hutch now. About painting it...that would be a decision impossible for me to make. I do think it would look good.

Your hutch is so pretty and I love the way you have it decorated. I can picture it white too and bet it would be beautiful. That's a hard decision to make. Clint Eastwood is sure right about that.

Love your hutch...so beautiful...and the Fiestaware is wonderful, too. I always loved my grandmother's set. Adam and Michelle have it now. I like what Mary does, but I like your hutch just as it is. Course it's your world!

Clint's got that right. 😏

Your hutch is beautiful, and the wood looks in really good shape. I LOVE the way you have decorated it! It is pretty, joyful, and neat! You have an artistic eye. The sky is such a pretty pink, making the pond pink as well!

P.S. I totally agree. People are so much at each other's throats now! America never used to be like this.

What a beautiful sunrise today!
Clint is right, it's very sad.
Your hutch looks great, very cheery with your dinnerware. I think it would look nice painted white.

I love your sunrise picture. As for the question about painting the hutch, Beverly Clearly would say that’s one for the electro-thinker.

I'm thinking with your wall color that white would be a nice change for the hutch. Have you ever thought of white on the top and leave the bottom the same or would that be too weird. Anyway, happy decision making. Love how cheerful it looks with the Fiesta Ware!

The hutch looks great. Is that fiesta ware you have in it? I love the colors. I like the look of white furniture. I say go for it and give it a try.

Like the hutch and all the 'happy' colors! Ohhhh, and that giraffe?! ...wood?

I will say your dresser has a lot of colour to it, nice and cheery

Nice sunrise and quote. Clint nailed the pulse of the country.

Beautiful sky! and I'm a fan of fiesta ware too. I love painting furniture and it's so easy with chalk paint. I'd do it!

I like your hutch and the bright dishes. Fiesta ware?

If you don't mind doing the painting, I think your hutch could look really pretty in white. I love the color the Fiesta dishes bring to it. So welcome at this time of year.
I think Clint Eastwood has summed it up pretty well. Sad but true.

Your hutch with all the bright cheery dishes sure got a lot of comments this morning. Probably because it is so eye-catching. I've seen some before and after posts with wood then painted white and the results always look stunning.

As for me, I love the white hutches. Yes, I know how people are and I try and stay away from them. It's like everyone is mad at something and just ready to BLOW.

I say yes, paint it white! I have a china cabinet I intent to paint white someday!

Sorry I missed this post yesterday. I love the hutch, I think white on top and leave the bottom the way it is. One thing about doing it that way, if it doesn't suit you, you can always paint to bottom white too.

Pretty view of the sky and pond, the reflection is lovely.
Your colorful dishes and hutch are pretty.
The Clint Eastwood quote is sad, but it is so true!
Take care, have a great day!
