Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A surprise Thank You

Today was one of those times I didn't get to walk.
It was 22 degrees and though the cold doesn't keep me from walking
ice does and everywhere it was wet yesterday is now icy.
So it was down in the basement for walking today.

Left the house at 9:00 and went to church for a
Blankets for Babies work morning.
Main road was clear but side roads were snow and icy in spots.
There were 7 of us working on blankets this morning.
Marilyn brought breakfast and I did the devotional.

I picked up the cupcake containers that I brought the money cupcakes
to church in while I was there.
When I got home there was a Thank You note tucked inside
one of the containers.
It was so unexpected and touched my heart.

Didn't do much of anything this afternoon.
Worked a little on the puzzle and made some
weave-it squares.

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Thursday

It’s not that cold yet here in NC. We are are around 34 in the morning and 70 in the afternoon. We have not done a lot of waking because it’s now almost dark when I get home from work.

By the way, Thank you for the prayers.

That thank you note is so sweet. It's still cold here and will probably stay cold until we get more snow, hopefully next week. I am exercising downstairs this week too. See you again tomorrow. :-)

That was a precious thank you card. It makes my heart happy that you were appreciated so nicely. It is a lovely thing that you do for the children baking all those treats. It was quite icy here in spots today...one had to be careful.
