Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

This morning started out a bit foggy and it was 62 degrees.
Stayed cloudy while I walked but did see the sun once I got home.
Walked 5.2 miles
Sunrise 6:41

Walked through town and to the curve in the road and
turned around at the farm road.

Walked back though town and around both cemeteries.

The cemetery cat walked with me for a little while.
He walked ahead of me and just would not turn around to
get his picture taken.

Saw John walking his dog.  Learned the dogs name today.
Primrose, called Prim for short.

Once again a now and then picture.

Today

☁️    🥾    🌻

After breakfast Ken went to the Dollar General on his own today.
I stayed home and baked chocolate chip cookies.

It was a beautiful cool sunny day.
Spent a lot of time outside.
Walking around and doing a bit of pulling weeds out of the gravel.
Sat on the porch and read and knitted.

Some friends of David and Liz
(a couple and their three young kids) are visiting from NJ.
They have a pop up camper and are spending the night camped out by the cabin.
This afternoon they all walked down from the cabin to meet us.
The kids had a ball running all around outside
and hiking around in the woods.
They were also glad to have some of those chocolate chip cookies
I made this morning for them. 🍪

That's going to be it for today.
Happy Saturday🙂

All of the "then and now" pictures are fun. So glad you got to meet David and Liz's friends. Sounds like a very nice day.

Another old picture to enjoy. Is it a private home now? I don't see any indication that it's a shop.

Love that porch on that building in town. Well that's different to have two legged young ones on your property as opposed to 4 legged! That's a cute name for a dog, Prim. :)
