Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

One Fine Day

53 degrees this morning when I walked.
A little fog around at first and then a mix of sun and clouds.
Walked 4.4 miles
Still walking slower than usual but feel good with over 4 miles now.
Started out with my sweatshirt on but it came off after the first mile.

Walked around both cemeteries and around town.

Here's a picture of the house I mentioned that was getting
a front porch.

Spider web on the fence around the cemetery.

Once again I saw John walking his dog but was too far away to talk.

Oh no, look what I saw.
The very first fall leaf.
It was the only one around though.

It was a delightful walk. πŸ™‚

🌀    πŸ₯Ύ    🍁

It was a pancake day breakfast.

Got a load of clothes drying out on the line and then we drove down
to LaVale again.  This time we had to get ramps so we can wheel
those carts we bought in and out of the trailer.

On the way there we stopped at the dump in Grantsville and got rid of
our garbage and then continued to LaVale on the back roads.
Came home the interstate and I took this picture of the clouds.

Before coming home we went to library to drop off a couple of books
and pick up a book (Anne Perry) and a DVD (Vera).
Home for lunch which for me was a strawberry sandwich.

We had a thunder shower come through this afternoon.
I got my clothes off the line just in time though some of them were still damp.
Had to hang them over the drying rack.

Made Potato Salad this afternoon to go with the hot dogs we had for supper.
We had hot dog rolls that were cut on top instead of the
side like they usually are.
First time I ever saw them - we like them much better.

Thanks so much for popping in for a visit.
Happy Wednesday to you.πŸ™‚

MsBB - The birds eat some of the strawberries but leave some for us. πŸ™‚πŸ“
I think there is so much for them to eat around here that they just take a sample and move on.  It is the same way for the deer.

Oooh - such pretty pics today! The morning light is so pretty. I love the fence photo and that spider web is incredible! Even the insects show God's handiwork! His handiwork is also obvious in those clouds. And the leaf too - although I'm not ready for Fall...
That house is going to look nice with the porch.
I've never seen hot dog buns cut on the top. Interesting!

The leaf is beautiful! And your second picture, the tall grass beside the fence, it is so golden and beautiful with the sun on it.

I have always wanted a big covered porch. Awesome spider web.
I've never had a strawberry sandwich. I have had those types of hot dog buns before though and I also like them better.

Y'wonder how many hours' drive before you get under the clouds on the horizon?!!

Beautiful sky captures. I love the shadow shot and the nice porch. The leaf is pretty. It has been a long time since I have eaten a hot dog. Take care, enjoy your day!

The variety you share is cool...from the gorgeous morning sky to the spider web to the first leaf of fall and what a leaf it is, too. Yay for 4.4 miles!

Oh what a beautiful porch that is going to be!!!!!!! Please keep us updated, on its progress, now and then.

I had thought that maybe there are so many berries around there, that the birds don't feel the need to strip your strawberries. Lucky you!

As to the first fall leaf....

We are very in need of rain, and so, lots of leaves on bushes and etc., are turning yellow etc. So it's going to be a long drawn out Autumn here, unless we get enough rain.
