Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A little drizzle

60 degrees this morning when I started walking and cloudy.
Walked 5 miles
Sunrise 6:36

After the first mile a light rain started.
The rain drops were just blending together on my shirt when it stopped.
I dried out and later it rained again.
Then once again I dried out.
It was a nice gentle rain which sounded delightful on the trees and corn.
It also kept me nice and cool.

Headed over to the library first to drop a book down the slot.
Then around the ball park, the cemetery on top of the hill
and around town.

Pretty quiet around town.
Seemed more like a Saturday or Sunday.
Didn't see any people walking around town.
The only activity were workers at the bank working on the drive thru.
Looks like they have all the cement work done and now they
are ready to put the building up.

☁️    🥾    🌧

A rainy Monday morning so the sheets didn't get washed.
Did get a good start on this weeks house cleaning though.

There were periods of sun and rain throughout the day.

The only thing I did this afternoon was read and knit.
Made for lovely afternoon.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy Monday to you.🙂

Ginny - No, not a teacher but thank you for those kinds words.  I just asked God to help me with the devotional and that is what came out. 🙂
Babies born at the local hospital all get a blanket.  Also we give them to anyone we know that had a baby.  The blankets are given with a card about our church and an invite to attend our church.

Thanks to everyone for the kind response to the devotional.

Hi Karen. I got a good start on house cleaning today too. I always start with the bathrooms because that is my least favorite thing to clean, but now all three bathrooms are clean! I just got a chance to read your devotional from yesterday and it was so good. I loved your connection of walking to spending time with God. Such good thoughts. Thanks for sharing. Have a good week. See you again tomorrow!

Light rain sounds good. We've had to do a lot of watering without that lovely rain. Sounds like a quiet Monday in town and a peaceful afternoon at home!

We had a rainy day on Saturday, but for a short time it came down in buckets! A friend was having an outreach festival at her church and we were worried about it, but the rain stopped and it all worked out!
I love that you give the blankets with an invite to church.

That sounds like a pleasant rain to walk in. I'm glad to hear that you are almost back to your 6 miles. I'm sure it's a good feeling to have a good start on your weekly house work. That's a great start to the week.

Sounds like a nice walk, though I would not be a fan of getting wet repeatedly. Cloudy all day, but pouring now. Good sleeping weather.

I love the way the pavement looks when it is wet.

Motregen (drizze) we call it in the Netherlands. Nice photos. What are you reading now?

Ohhhh how I long for rain. In a few months our rainy season will start. I’m praying for a healthy one, Lord knows we sure need it!

Looks like a beautiful and peaceful walk. I love the way the air smells after the rain!
We had a literal downpour here on Saturday! It felt so good, and it made for a really lovely day.

Have a nice afternoon.
