Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Moved the swing AGAIN.

Rained during the night and was still raining when I woke up.
When I left the house there was just a very light drizzle
and 66 degrees.

After walking just a few minutes the rain stopped altogether
and then just cloudy.
Even saw the sun for a little while.

Walked both cemeteries, ball park loop, and all over town.

Can still see the barn and silo but won't be able to for long
with the corn growing tall.

I've been taking a picture in this same spot for a few weeks
watching the corn grow.

Couldn't resist this picture of the cemetery cat in the corn.

Joy was out walking and saw a woman running who I see once in a while.

It is a good thing I'm not a car thief.
A man got out of his car, left it running with the door open
while he went into the post office.
How easy it would be to hop in the car and drive off.

Walked 6 miles

🌧    ☁️    🌀    πŸ₯Ύ

I washed the decking on the front porch this morning.

Just last week we moved the swing off the back deck.
After seeing it where we moved it to I was not happy so I asked
Ken very nicely if we could move it again.
He smiled and said of course.
So we. moved it from out back to the front porch
where I'm almost certain it will remain.
This is the 4th time we moved it.
This is the part of the porch by the front door.

Around the corner is where the swing now sits in its new place.

Now I have a few different places to sit on the porch and read.
Today I sat in the swing.

Supper this evening was hot ham and cheese on rye bread.

That's all I've got for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.πŸ€—

Dianna - Casselman Market is where the old Shop and Save was.  Turn left at the light just past The Hilltop Fruit Market and it is in the shopping center.

Ha Ha on asking your hubby ever so nicely. I usually bake one of Dan's favorite things before I ask. I do like the swing in its new location.

The swing looks fine there to me. Why do they call him thecemetary cat? Does he live in the cemetary?

Smiling about the moving of the swing. Love the photo of the cat in front of the corn. That was a brave move to leave the car on and door open! Love all your porch space!

Your front porch looks so inviting, Karen. I love your choice of colors with the furniture...and isn't it wonderful to have a patient husband who smiles and says, "Of course"?

Thanks for letting me know about where the Casselman Market is! We were in Grantsville last month, but didn't go out that way. We will definitely check it out the next time we need to go to Grantsville.

I've done that with my husband as well - have him move something, and then I change my mind. Your porch looks so inviting -

Sometimes it takes a few tries before you get a thing “right.” So it is with the swing I think. By the way, it is a lovely porch.
