Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Heart Litter

66 degrees under cloudy skies when I went walking this morning.
The rain held off till later in the day.

Everything back to normal in town after the festivities from yesterday.

Walked all around town, both cemeteries, and the ball park.

Went down the road toward home for a bit before turning
around and heading back to town.

Lots of rabbits hopping about and one finally stayed still
long enough for me to get a picture, though not a very good one.

Joy was out walking and Farmer Mavin was driving by in his truck
and he stopped for a chat.

The ditch lilies have been popping up all over the place now.
I think these tall lilies are so pretty.

Here's a picture for you Anni
A Paper Towel Heart
(heart litter)

Walked 6 miles
Found a penny

☁️    🥾     ☁️    🌺

Haven't made fried bread (French Toast) for breakfast
for a while so we had that today.

It is our day for going shopping at the Shop and Save
but we went to the Casselman Market in Grantsville instead.
Think that will be our main shopping store from now on.
It's a few miles farther but nicer and cheaper.

Stayed inside today and did some house work.
Then just puttered about.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you. 🤗

The paper towel heart is such a strange and wild find! I think you got a good shot of the bunny. We have those same lilies!

A paper towel heart isn't something you would normally find outside.
Those lilies look like the ones one the side of my house. I haven't been out to take a picture of them yet this year. I'll have to remember to do that.

Hi Karen. Those Lilies are beautiful! I like the paper towel heart too! It's nice that you have found a place to shop that has better prices. With all the inflation, that is a good thing! I hope you have a good evening and a good day tomorrow. :-)

Great that you were able to get a picture of the rabbit! They don’t stay still long enough for me!

Now I am wondering if the farmer got the hay baled before it rained. I have a family of rabbits living under the garden shed. They are quite gentle and don’t seem afraid of me until Millie comes around.

Funny that we both saw lots of rabbits today. Maybe the first batch of new babies are big enough to venture forth. Several of the ones I saw were quite little ( and not scruffy like the older ones who are still losing their winter fluff.)
That heart-shaped paper towel is a strange find.

You're the reason I am grinning this morning. My area was promised rain and it threatened all day, but it didn't come until after 9 in the evening. Overnight rain...my favorite. (Besides, my lawn has had that Sunday treatment and needed the water.)

It's good to find a store with better prices. I find that I must shop the sales like I used to. I have mowed my lawn in sections over several days. Today is the dreaded back yard with all that sloping. I think you and Ken have a good idea with no lawn. ☺️

Glad that new store is working out for you. I'll be stopping at the weekly farmer's market today. I have to keep reminding myself about what day of the week it is. A holiday on Monday always puts me a day behind!

Sounds like a lovely day for your walk!

Where in Grantsville is the Casselman Market? I would love to check it out. We go to Springs PA (just down the road from Grantsville) but I've not heard of the Casselman Market before.
