Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

More Books and Game Night

Started out walking in sunshine and then it was cloudy.
A nice cool morning at 53 degrees and VERY WINDY.

First walked around the lower cemetery and then straight
through town to the curve up ahead where I turned around.

On the way back to town went in the industrial park,
walked around there, then around town and finally
back to the Jeep.

Didn't see anyone else out this morning and oddly no animals
except for birds.  I usually see some wildlife!

I'm pretty good about judging my 6 mile walk
even without looking at my pedometer
but over shot it just a bit today and walked 6.4 miles.

Left for church again right after breakfast and Ken and I got
a bunch more Romans books cut and boxed up.
We just worked in the morning so didn't get as much done as
yesterday and I don't remember the number.
Still more to go but we will finish up next week.

On the way home we stopped at Brenda's and picked up 2 of their
Take and Bake pizzas.

Baked a red velvet cake this afternoon.
Not from scratch, just a box mix.
Did make the frosting though - vanilla.

David and Liz came by late afternoon for game night. (RACKO) ๐Ÿ˜€
The pizza and cake were for them.

We never did eat the cake because we were too full
after eating the pizza and the celery, carrots, and dip that
Liz brought.

They have to work tomorrow so they gave Ken his Father's Day card,
a box of Good and Plenty and some cupcakes today too.

It stayed windy and cool (50's) all day but sunny
which made for a nice day.

That's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Saturday to you. ๐Ÿค—

Rose - If I don't like the book I usually don't read it to the end.  Too many books I want to read without reading the ones I don't like. ๐Ÿ™‚

Vee - We take the boxed up Romans books to Bedford, Pa to the Beacon of Truth warehouse and they ship them out.  This batch is going to South America.
When we drop them off there we will pick up another pallet of scriptures to bring back to church to work on.

Ann - Right after the posts I have a list of links.  There is one called Fingerprint Ministry and it explains what it is.  Ken and I are working alone getting the cutting done.  It is usually done when everyone is working doing but the cutter was broken for two months so we are just working at getting them cut.

Enjoy the cool. We’re having heat wave. 95 or near each day and humid.

We just had our girls and families over tonight for pizza and Fathers Day celebration. I haven't played Racko for years. Sounds fun!
You are doing good on getting out those Romans books.

It sounds like such pleasant weather to walk in. It was super nice here, today. Low 80's and lower humidity.

I heard a lot of people saying how windy it was yesterday. I went out with Gibbs for a bit and it was here too.
Game night sounds like fun.
