50 degrees and the weather report said 90% change of rain.
Left the house all prepared to walk in the rain.
Just a drizzle on the way to town and it stopped when
I started walking.
I started walking.
Had a cloudy walk but no rain.
The moment I got back in the Jeep it started raining!!
I thank God for small blessings. 😊
Walked around town, the ball park and both cemeteries.
Tractor sitting out in the field all set to get to work
getting the fields ready for planting.
Three fishermen at the pond today.
The two that meet there and another one.
Didn't see anyone else out walking about town.
Guess they thought it would be raining and took the day off.
Don't know the names of these little yellow wild flowers but they are
all over the place.
In places there are whole fields of them.
Nothing unusual or different this morning but a delightful
walk all the same.
Walked 6 miles
☁️ 🌸 🥾
Baked the Blueberry Muffins this morning and they turned out fine.
Don't usually put icing on them but since it was for Pastor's
birthday I put a cream cheese icing on them with some
extra blueberries on top.
Also made some Dill Bread in the bread machine.
Got the rest of my weekly house work done and then
did a little reading and sewing some more squares.
The end is in sight and I will be done with this months
baby blanket this evening or tomorrow.
It rained all day long so it was a good day to be inside.
We ate the dill bread with the cheesy potato/broccoli soup
I made for supper.
We usually have the potato OR broccoli but today I put
both in and it was extra good.
I'm thankful for the little blessing of smelling baking bread. 🍞
A happy Friday to you. 🤗

MsBB - Yes, we are outside in nature a lot being we live in the woods. I'm sure there must be ticks around but I've yet to see one at Happy Trails.

BillyBlueEyes - Yes, the skunk cabbage smells just like a skunk, but only it you disturb it. I guess just like a real skunk. 😀

...I see that you aren't in John Deere country! The clusters of yellow flowers are unknown to me, but there's a few dandelions.
Sounds like you had such a good day. And were the only brave person to go out walking!
Now, what will the farmers be planting?
I don't know of any skunk plant here but we do have stink beans that grow on the coast, that smell like skunk. When we were kids, the boys would bring them into class and then step on them, and boy would they stink. We had to go outside for the room to air out.
Marijuana farming is big business here in Northern California. It smells skunkish and when in the Fall when its harvest time, we constantly are smelling it in the air. Or you can smell it on people's clothing. Totally smells like skunk to me.
Broccoli soup sounds wonderful! We mainly just had overcast day, and not much rain.
It's looking like Spring and it's so good!
Blueberry muffins sound yummy. I better make some again.
The wildflowers are lovely.
Hi Karen. I bed the blueberry muffins you baked for your pastor are delicious. That is so kind and thoughtful of you. Dill bread and cheesy potato/broccoli soup also sounds good. I must be hungry. See you again tomorrow!
Those muffins sound delicious . Cream cheese icing never spoils anything .
Sometimes it's nice to get some rain and cool things down a bit. A little grey here today.
God bless.
So Skunk cabbage is not something you would want to kick around then. Interesting little walk, the tractor looks like something we would have here ploughing or seeing the fields. Did you know that Jethro Tull who invented the seed drill lived around where I do. Nice to hear someone else uses a bread maker like I do
The rain stopping while you were walking then starting up when you got back in the jeep. I love things like that. A sure sign that you are being watched over.
Blueberry muffins sound delicious and so does the bread and soup.
Hello,
The rain is non-stop here. The yellow flowers are pretty, sorry I do not know their name. The Blueberry muffins with icing sounds delicious. Happy Mother's Day weekend!
I've never had muffins (of any kind)with icing. Hmmm, will have to try that. That flower I used to see along river banks. Maybe. Looks familiar...rocket flowers? Or yellow rocket? Something similar
I'd be MORE than pleased to walk in the rain right now
Your supper sounded sooo good. Yummy. Glad you made it back to the jeep before it poured!
