Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Baby Deer

Mama deer came by with her baby this morning.
Taken out the bathroom window.

Taken out the bedroom side window.

They walked to the back of the house and
after walking around back for a while,
mama settled baby down hidden in some tall grass.
Then she made it down by the deck and got a drink of water.

She took a good look around then left.

I went outside and walked around a bit.
Nice and sunny but very windy but still nice to get outside.

This is the first year the wisteria has bloomed.
Only these few blooms but I am delighted.

I finished reading a book called
The Crows of Hidden Creek by JoAnn Huston Niemela.
It's a childrens book all about the first year of life of a couple of
crows who live at a golf course.
The author is the mother of a woman Ken worked with.
I had a signed book and loaned it to a friend who lost the book
years ago.  Really liked the book and was sad not to have it any more.
Ken found it looking around on Amazon and bought it for 99 cents and
put it on my Kindle.

Did you know that a flock of crows is called a Murder?
If a crow survives the first year he/she will probably live 17 to 21 years.

I sat out on the porch for a while and started reading another
Anne Perry book.

Tomorrow we will be going to church on FB.
Don't want to take a chance on making anyone sick.

Hope your Saturday was a happy one. 🤗
Thanks for stopping by.

And now begins a summer of watching that adorable fawn grow. The wisteria is beautiful. Now you don't have to wonder if it'll ever bloom. It is neighborly not to share any bad stuff with friends. Speaking of which, Ken's still vertical, right?

That fawn sure looks young! They are just so cute. I did know that it is called a murder of crows, but I did not know the age thing.

Your wisteria blooms like my mom's always did. On mine the blooms are are more short, fat clumps.

Glad you keep improving.

Yes, I know a flock of crows is called a 'murder' of crows. Isn't that cool??

Awful that that person lost your autographed book.

Sweet that Ken got another copy for you.

Do you yet know, what has made you sick? You said a bad headache. Any body aches and pains and/or fever?

Please keep taking it easy.

Gentle hugs..

Such adorable pictures of the mama deer and the little fawn. So glad you wisteria is out in bloom. I am glad you could find a copy of The Crows of Hidden Creek. It sounds like a good book, and you taught me somethings about crows I did not know. I am glad you are feeling better. We are watching church online today too. Have a lovely Sunday.

How lovely to see the deer and her fawn. The wisteria is beautiful, it took many years before the one at Dingles flowered and then the new owners chopped it all down.

That is such an unusual name for a flock of crows! Hope you are continuing to feel better and better!
