Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another Sunny Day

It was 42 degrees when I started walking and 53 degrees
when I returned to the Jeep.
A beautiful clear sunny day with no wind.

For a while the fountain in the pond has been broken but
I see today that it is working again.

Walked around both cemeteries, then through town and the road
behind the Dollar General.

Over to the industrial park and around there and then
back to the Jeep.

Roger was out walking Andy.
He usually walks around the ball park but was at the cemetery today.

Lots of birds around and so nice to hear their happy chirping.
They are always so busy.

The word to describe my walk once again is delightful!!

Walked 6 miles

☀️    🌸    😊

We went outside this morning after breakfast and worked out front.
Ken cut down two smallish trees that had died.
I picked up the branches and added them to the fence.
Picked up some other branches to add to it and also cut some more
sticker bushes that were starting to grow again.
Never can get rid of the sticker bushes but just keep
them from taking over again.
When we first moved here the sticker bushes were so thick you
couldn't even walk.

Was tempted to plant those petunias and pansies again but didn't.

Stayed out front working till lunch time and then quit for the day.

Sat outside for a while in the afternoon.
Read some and knitted too.

Sure liking these beautiful sunny days. ☀️
Hope you had a great day. 🤗
Thanks for stopping by.

Sounds like a perfect day...here was nice, too. A bit on the warm side...it was 86° around noon. I just checked and it says it is 90 now. It is very humid. But I will take it over the cold.

I love that pond - with the white church in the background. Nice to have some sunny weather. Looks like we are starting to break out of the unsettled weather we've had for the last few days. It warmed up this afternoon to 70 and the sun was out all day.

We don't have sticky bushes but we do get blackberry bushes that will take over a yard in no time. You have to keep on it.

You know you really get up with the crack of eggs to go out on your morning walks, that lake looks so calming in the morning. I hope the rest of the day was like that for you

Love how everything gets re-purposed, around your home. Dead trees make 'fences' and etc. The perfect way!!!!
