Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A sunny day

A nice sunny morning for walking with just a few clouds.
A nice warm 58 degrees.

Walked around both cemeteries and then headed down the main road
back toward home for a mile.
Then turned around and walked back to town.

Walked through town and over to the Dollar General where I
turned around in the parking lot and went back to the
Jeep which is parked by the pond.

Didn't see anyone else out walking at all and no one even fishing
at the pond.

At the end of my walk I went down by the pond and
sat down on one of the benches for a little while.
So peaceful sitting there looking over the water.

Today I walked 5.4 miles

🌸    🌤    🥾    🌼

I made some pancakes for breakfast.

A nice sunny day so I did a load of laundry
and did a few more house chores and then sat out on the
deck out back watching the chipmunks on the stone walls.

All the trees have just about grown in now and it all looks so
lush and green.

Like most afternoons I did some reading and knitting.

It's been a good day
and for that I am thankful.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy Thursday to you. 🤗

The sun wasn't shining but it was a lovely morning here for walking.
I hung out a few things on the line and they dried in no time.
Sitting on a bench in the quiet of the morning is so pleasant.

The pond is beautiful. How lovely it would be to just sit there. Are there ever any ducks swimming around?

The first photo - have you ever been tempted to walk on that barrier by the side of the road? Great for balance and poise.

God bless.

Love the water shot!! That would definitely be my 'go to' spot to sit a spell & watch nature go by.

Hope Ken is not being too uncomfortable. At least he knows what to expect and for how long.

What a lovely spot to sit.... Ditto about your porch.

What beautiful country. Reminds me of Amish country. I think I would love it there.
