Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

19 degrees, breezy, with snow showers this morning when walking.
Snow showers are better than rain - at least I don't get wet.

Walked all around town, both cemeteries and the ball park.

There were just a few places where it was icy.
Here's one of them.

The trail behind the ball park.

Near the end of my walk the snow stopped and little blue sky appeared.

Didn't see any other people walking or even anyone else out
and only saw a few cars.

Walked 6 miles

Though it did stay cold it was so nice to have a sunny day.

David and Liz came over this afternoon and we played
Mexican Train.
They stayed for supper too and I made

Thanks for stopping by. ๐Ÿ™‚
A happy Saturday to you.

Anni, sorry I forgot to answer your question about pancakes.
I made Buttermilk Pancakes from scratch but when I'm lazy I use Bisquick.

Ginny - The bulls live about 2 1/2 miles from my house (One as the crow flies) and they are down past one of the cemeteries.  There are 39 bulls there now and are mostly sold and will be going to their new farms in the spring.
I walk down this road to see them most mornings.

The trail behind the ball park looks like a fun place to walk. We had sun all day long! It was sure nice.

It's always better when the sun is shining no matter what the temps are. Have a great evening Karen. :)

It's nice to see the sun shine. Even if it's cold, the sunshine makes it feel a bit warmer.
The trail behind the cemetery is pretty!

It looks like your snow has mostly gone. It was a nice day for walking here too...until late afternoon when a light rain began.

First picture, that's a lot of water, flowing down from somewhere, and turning into ice.

Yes, a sunny day makes everyone 'perkier'! :-)

Gentle hugs...

Hi Karen, We have Mexican Train, but we have never played it. Glad you had a good day. I know it is always nice for you to get together with David and Liz. It was sunny here today but still quite cold. See you again tomorrow. :-)

Thanks for the link Karen. And as for your walks, I think I too would have to see the cattle each morning. I'm sure they appreciate your company!!!

Hello,
I like the view of the trail and the last pretty sky shot.
Your buttermilk pancakes and the chicken pot pie sound great.
Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and have a happy new week!

Hi Karen- We've had a lot of Rain- with bad Floods to the north of the state. It has been raining here near six days straight -though eased this afternoon and tonight. Not long till Autumn. Summer has been rather mild. Cheers. KEV.

Always happy for you when you are able to get outside to get your walking in.
It was unseasonable cold here yesterday, and we did have sunshine. It's just hard to warm things up here after a big storm.

Have a great rest of your weekend.
