This morning when I started walking it was 33 degrees,
a bit windy, and cloudy.
(we did have sunshine later in the day)
Walked through town and down the main road to the
curve by the farm driveway where I turned around.
On the way back I went into the industrial park and walked around there.
Back through town and to the Jeep.
A few frozen puddles.
Another day when I did not see any other walkers.
Nothing going on around town.
Walked 6 miles
☁️ 😊 🥾
We went out this morning in the pickup and dropped off
the garbage at the dump.
Stopped at the post office to mail a package to a friend.
Mailing packages is expensive these days!!
Went for a little ride and before coming home stopped
at the library to get a book I had on hold,
1984 by George Orwell.
Read it a long time ago when in school and can't remember
whether I liked it or not so giving it a try now.
Will start it later this evening.
After lunch I got a slow cooker of chili started which will be
tomorrows supper.
Finished up the major house cleaning for the week
and moved a couple of things around in our bedroom
to make another reading or needlework corner.
Supper today was baked spicy chicken with lettuce and tomato on a roll.
That's all I have for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you. 😊

Naum - Yes, my coat so very warm I can't wear it unless it is 20 degrees or lower. Just makes me too warm. It is the warmest coat I've ever had.
Anni - You guess right, our grandson lives in Hawaii because of the military. My son's Ex wife married an officer in the Air Force and he is stationed in Hawaii. They've been there for about 1 1/2 years now.

The ice puddles are pretty!
...I have always enjoyed "puddle art" and when they are frozen, they are even nicer.
It was on the cool side here this day...warmer when we got up (35) went down to at least 28, and I think that is about where it stayed. And so windy@
That first ice puddle has such a pretty design...is that your weave-spread you made? That sure looks pretty.
It seems you have a nice view from every window. Your walking friends may be going out a little later these cold mornings.
Aren't frozen puddles cool?
Good job on the cleaning.
I'll be interested in what you think of 1984. I read it years ago too.
Hi Karen. Your bedroom looks so comfy. I love the color of your walls! Our house in Arizona had interior paint that color and it was very cheerful! I love having a little reading nook in my bedroom. It is one of my favorite places. :-) Slow cooker chili sounds so good. I made beef and pasta tonight for dinner. I read 1984 in either high school or college. I should probably read it again. See you again tomorrow.
Oh I see a glimpse of the yellow coverlet you made for your bed. It is a pleasant room and a nice reading nook.
1984? That book is 38 years old!
God bless.
The puddle at is cool. I would like to make a pot of chili, it is a hearty meal for a cold winter day. Your reading corner looks cozy. Take care, enjoy your day!
It is so nice to be able to visit again, Karen, you are such an inspiration. Your activity/reading nook is so lovely Thank you for visiting me and for your sweet comment.
Blessings,
Suel
Frozen puddles are interesting to see. Nature's abstract art.
Interesting, the patterns ice can make.
Looks and sounds cold. Way to go on your 6 miles. Just got back from a walk with a friend, we did 4. Went for a bike ride yesterday and have managed planks 2 days in a row. I'm doing 40 second planks x 4 with a 12 second rest between. It's process. Keep up the good work. Dinner sounds good.
The ice puddles reminded me of how tempting I found those to step on as a child in Michigan. I don't think I've seen them here in NC.
Your dinners both sound good and just right for winter meals.
I like the way the sun is shining in your cozy reading/needlework corner. I love little spots like that.
Oh, thought you got snow in that storm. But no...
Love the ice puddles! You could do a series of them.
And yes, agreeing with Happy@Home above.... Ice puddles are made for stomping on, as a child. And maybe, now too!!!!!
Ahhhh, a pretty shot of your bedroom. Such a cozy corner.

Lucky guess (our son was stationed at pearl harbor).
That first icy puddle looks like a petroglyph!
Ice puddles are often so interesting with different patterns within them ...
Chili in the slow cooker sounds yummy :)
All the best Jan
Nice puddle ice art. Your meal sounded real good. Glad you could get out and about~
