Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Cold

All of my 6 miles were walked in the basement today.
Though it ended up sunny, it was windy and 6 degrees.
I forgot to mention yesterday that it takes me 15 minutes
to walk a mile in the basement.
So walking 2 miles at a time just takes 30 minutes.
Doing that 3 times works out quite well for me.

Here's a broader view of part of the layout and you can see
part of where I walk there on the left.

Another snowy picture.
Taken out of the bathroom window.
The fence you see through the trees is along the lane where I walk.

A sunny afternoon though very cold.

Worked some on the puzzle, read, and knitted and didn't do much else.
The white blanket I'm knitting is now 20 1/4 inches long.
Finished it will measure 36 inches.

Didn't make our Friday night pizza yesterday so we did that today.
I looked forward to a pizza supper all day.

Well I guess that's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
😊 A happy Saturday to you.

So glad you have some beautiful sunshine with that cold weather. We actually have a freeze warning here tonight, possible low of 27 degrees which is just crazy for Florida. Stay warm and have a relaxing Sunday Karen.

Hi Karen. That is pretty cold. We were in the 30s here all day, but it was bright and sunny. You really have a lot of snow. So glad you walk and stay warm inside today. We had homemade pizza here for dinner. Very good. I hope you have a good Sunday. See you then!

Is that nor'easter hitting you, too. We've been watching some reports on the news. It's time for a good pizza here, too. It's been a while. Pretty views out your window!

What a great view of the train layout. So glad you did not venture out today. I will not be out walking when the temps are in the digits.

Wow...what a train set. I gotta ask, how does he make water look so realistic? His work is a true marvel.

Ken's project is amazing! Simply amazing!

And your walking is amazing too!!!!

Don't want to "play favorites" here. -grin-

We had pizza too, last night/Sat., but the delivered kind. Had to be G/F and they do it best.<--My excuse. Really had planned on something else but it got too late to slice the needed potatoes. We'll have scalloped potatoes with ham and cheese today.

Thank you for liking all the pic of red and white plaid, in curtains and etc., in my last post! To me, they are happy and perky and bright and fun. Perfect antidote to cold Jan.!

You are committed, I'll give you that. Just don't think I could do the basement walking. Just wondering if you have a treadmill at all?
Sun is out here today and that is about as exciting as it gets! xo Diana

Oh my! Ken has made a beautiful train scene there in your basement! Quite large and elaborate! Nice to look at while you do your inside walks. Your snowy scenes are beautiful!
