Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A sunny day

It was a morning for wearing my very warm jacket.
18 degrees, but calm and after the sun came over the
mountain it stayed out.

Walked first to the post office to mail a card to our youngest grandson
who lives in Hawaii and next Tuesday he will be 16!!

Continued walking over to the ball park and walked around there
a few times.  Then over to the cemeteries and walked around
both of them a couple of times.

Went down to see the bulls and today as you can see
all the mud is frozen.

Finished up my walk walking through town.

Quiet around town again.
Wonder where all the walkers have gone.

I thought it must have warmed up by the time my walk was done
because I got warm and had to unzip my jacket.
It did warm up but not by much.
When I got back to the Jeep it was 23 degrees.

Walked 6 miles

☀️    😊    🥾

Food shopping day at Shop and Save.
As usual went first thing after breakfast.
Once back home and everything put away, I sat in one of the
chairs by the back door in the sunshine while I read my Bible.
Read the first 5 chapters of Job.

Did a few chores around the house and then
after lunch we went for a walk on some of the trails
around Happy Trails.
We wanted to take advantage of the pretty sunny day.
You never know what tomorrows weather will be.

Another day goes zooming by.
Hope yours was a happy one. 😊
Thanks for stopping by.

I am glad someone else feels the days zoom by! We had such a heavy frost on the roofs that I thought for a minute it was a skim of snow. But then when I paused and really looked I saw it was frost. I have never seen it that heavy...

It was lightly overcast this morn, and in the afternoon the sun was in and out a lot.

On really cold mornings I wait for it to warm up a bit before I head out. You are tougher than me!

I was reading Job this morning too. I just finished my yearly read through and decided that this year I wanted to read through in chronological order. I found a print off and got started. First Genesis through chapter 11 than Job and then back to Genesis. I noticed on the list that after Numbers it really starts jumping around. This will be an interesting year. I really like your last photo, that cow was looking right into the camera :)

Hi Karen. Sounds like you are making good progress on your Bible reading. Happy birthday to your grandson. My oldest grandson will be turning 16 in May. Wow, time flies. Glad you had a good and productive day. See you again tomorrow.

Glad you had sunshine for your walk. A 16 year old grandson, very special. Wonder if he's keen on driving. Sounds like you found a nice spot for reading. We are supposed to get more snow tomorrow. I snowshoed today.

You're always so busy; but the miles add up.

God bless.

Happy birthday to your grandson. Hmmm, living in Hawaii? Perhaps a military family?

Love those cows...the temp, not so much.

I'm back from my blogging break and posting again. Happy 2022!

I envy your grandson living in Hawaii right now! The days certainly do zoom by, don't they?
