Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Thomas Kinkade Puzzle

Weather this morning not so great for walking.
32 degrees and a cold rain falling with a bit of frozen rain thrown in.
Windy too so decided to do my walking in the basement today.
Walked my 6 miles in 3 sessions.
Two miles before breakfast.
Two miles after breakfast.
Two miles in the afternoon.

Passed by this little scene many times.
Going one way

and them passed it again going the other way.

Fought the urge to take down all the Christmas decorations today
and will TRY to wait until Saturday.

Our friend Bettye gave us a beautiful Thomas Kinkade jigsaw puzzle
for Christmas and I started it today.
It looks like quite a challenge but we like a challenge.
🙂 Thanks Bettye ❤️

Have started sewing Januarys baby blanket together.
A nice rainy day for doing that and also spent some time reading.

We had a pizza in the freezer from last week that we made
so that was supper.
Nice that I didn't have to cook anything.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your Monday was a happy one. 🙂
👩🏻‍🦳 happyone ❤️

Does Ken ever actually just play with his amazing trainlayout? How about a video?

Funny, I checked your other blog before coming here to see if you had maybe got the blanket done.

We still had leftovers this evening.

I am just starting to enjoy my tree and you are fighting the urge to take yours down. ☺️ Everybody is so different.
Good choice to do your walking inside. I wonder if Ken has ever included you walking in one of his scenes. He could
move you all around town.

Hi Karen. I get get our Christmas tree decoration down and put away within a day or two after we get home from out little winter getaway trip. I'm with you. I like to start the year with everything all cleaned up. I like the puzzle you started. What a thoughtful gift from your friend. Glad you could get your walking miles in in your basement. See you again soon!

I think it would be great fun to walk around the train layout. Is Ken there working while you are walking? I like Vee's idea for a Karen walker that moves all around the layout. I am sure you will enjoy the puzzle.

Hello,

The train display looks wonderful. We had a snowy morning, but the snow melted quickly during the afternoon. We had a pizza and salad for dinner too.
The puzzle picture is pretty. Take care, enjoy your day.

Oh, that's a large puzzle. I just finished one, but only 300 pieces, which I will stick with until I get bored with it because I've become so very good at puzzles. Likely this will take a long, long time.

And again, and always, how I love what your husband did in your basement. It's amazing and I would love to see more sometime. Please.

Looks like a lovely puzzle to puzzle over! :)
We have one started that will have to wait to be completed after Sunday.
Good idea to walk inside with that weather.
