Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Friday

Back to another warm morning again.
This time it was 44 degrees, cloudy, and very calm - not a breeze to be felt.

Walked all around town, both cemeteries, and the ball park.

Walking into the lower cemetery is very muddy at times and
have to walk up on the grass to go around.
Not any more.
A load of gravel has been put down.. 🙂

The Drane house garden has been all cleaned up for the season
and new wood has been in around the beds.

I ran into Joy and told her I knew she walked earlier than me yesterday
because I saw her footprints in the snow.
She said she had wondered where I was yesterday.

I haven't seen Sheila out running for a while but she was out
there today running in shorts!

Walked 6 miles

☁️   🙂    ☁️

There are no more town decorations but thought I take some
pictures of decorations that people have put up around their houses.

The first one is this cute snowman.

⛄️    ⛄️    ⛄️

Did some things around the house and then we headed out
to church for a Fingerprints work day.
Today the work day was from 12:00 to 9:00.
We left at 5:30.
Work continues into the night to give the people who can't make it
during the day a chance to do it too.

Tomorrows work session will be from 9:00 to noon.
We will go back then and finish up the cutting and boxing the books up.

We've just finished supper and now it is relaxing time.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you. 🙂

That is such a cute snowman...bet it makes the mailman smile. It was in the 50's here today...tonight we are supposed to get fierce winds with a chance of tornados thrown in.

Hi Karen. You and Ken do such great work with the Fingerprints ministry. Glad things were a little warmer today for your walk. We had snow and very cold temperatures today. The snow has moved out now, but more is expected early next week. Hope you have a good weekend. See you again soon!

...we look about the same here, our snow is gone. I hope to collect cones at the park tomorrow. Enjoy your weekend, Karen.

44 degrees seems like a good temp for a hardy walk. That is a cute snowman!

44 degrees and wearing shorts!! I guess running warms a person up.
The Drane garden looks so neat and tidy all freshened up. I like that.

Hello,

The garden beds look very nice at the Drane House. I like the snowman on the mailbox. We are supposed to have temps near 70° today, good walking weather.
Take care, have a happy weekend!

How nice that the temperature has shifted to something a bit warmer. It'll do the same here when rain moves in and takes off with our snow for the second time this week. Your commitment to the Fingerprints ministry is exceptional. It must be a good time of fellowship.

It's always welcome to have a day in winter when the weather warms for just a bit. Keeps us going, and a spark in our heart warm for springtime :)
Of course, I have a dear friend that keeps a spark in her heart for wintertime, as she loves to ski and snowboard...lol!

Warm wishes...
