Didn't drive to town this morning for my walk.
It was 25 degrees and snowing and decided to wait until it was
light out to walk near the house.
We just had a dusting of snow this morning but I shoveled the driveway anyway. Wanted to try out my new snow shovel.
After I did that is when I went for my walk.
Looks early but it was 10:00!
A few of my neighbor cows.
Walked down the hill to the main road and back.
I live at the end of this road.
Walked up a neighbors driveway,
and up the lane.
Only walked 5 miles but I figured shoveling the driveway
counted for another mile.

Another town Christmas decoration.
A candle this time and it is at the other end of the Dollar General.
Just before lunch we drove down to the library to drop off a couple
of books and to pick up a DVD.
Started snowing again but it isn't amounting to anything.
After lunch I finally got some house work done!!
Got around to writing out quite a few Christmas cards too.
I was sitting at the table writing out the cards,
listening to Christmas music (Anne Murray)
and watching it snow outside.
It was delightful.
We've been kicking that word delightful around here ever since
Dave (David's friend) described the Meringue Cookies
I made as delightful. We all got such a kick out of him saying that.
I put some pork chops in the slow cooker this morning.
Seared them first and then rubbed garlic and brown sugar
on the before putting them in the cooker.
Mashed potatoes and beets were also on the menu for supper.
Ken gave me a hair cut - took a couple of inches off and now
my hair comes to just below by ears.
I like it!!
That's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your day was a happy one. 🙂

I am just going to pretend I am there listening to the snow crunch beneath my feet.
I like Japhy's name! 🥰
...your snow looks so festive! The house in the first picture looks like an Amish house, but when I enlarged it I saw the propane tank.
I wish Roger could cut my hair...I just hate making appts. We were supposed to get a skim of snow, but it went south of us.
Wow, that is a lot of years to live in another country. How old were the kids? It would be something I would never forget.
We were snowed on last night and into today too.
I like the cows on your walk. :)
Your pork chops sound good!
I think your pork chops sound delicious.
All the best Jan
Very similar to here. We've had light snow all day.
I doubt there will be any snow here until after the new year arrives. December is turning out to be unseasonably warm. So, I will just keep tramping through the woods on zillions of leaves instead of a pretty dusting of snow. The trails and woods there are really pretty with a bit of snow covering them.
Amish use propane, at least in my neck of the woods. No snow make it to my house. I like to change up my walks so as not to get bored. Your change of scenery looked interesting with the light snow and hopefully no ice!
We're both fortunate not to have to go to some salon to have our haircuts. Your husband cuts yours and around here we depend on granddaughter Kate to do both of ours ( plus other family members too).
Working on writing Christmas cards while the snow is gently falling sounds delightful.
I'd be afraid to have Bud cut my hair!! I love the early (10 a.m.) photo of the white-face in the snow!!
Pretty snowy scenes! We had a dusting of snow, which melted right away. I have had my hubby trim my hair. Take care, enjoy your day!
💕
The snow adds a festive touch to the scene.
