Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

Warmed up quite a bit since yesterday morning.
Walking this morning it was 47 degrees, calm and cloudy.
Wore too many layers and had to take some off!!

Walked all around town as usual, and the cemeteries and
the ball park.
Joy was out walking also and we had a short chat in the cemetery.

Block as been delivered behind the bank as work continues
on the drive thru.

Saw a deer running through the field where the corn was.
The poor bulls are in quite a bit of mud now that it warmed
up again.  I couldn't even walk up to the fence because of the mud.
Farmer Marvin did put a bunch of hay down for them though.

Walked 6 miles

Bench Number 16
This one sits in the lower cemetery

Sun came out later in the morning with a nice breeze so
got the sheets washed and hung out to dry.

Went out late morning to drop off our garbage at the dump.
There are 3 different dumps we can go to and we went to the
one in Grantsville this time.  First time we've been there.
We wanted to stop in at Candy Land which is in Grantsville too.
Candy Land has rows of bulk candy that you buy by the pound.
I usually stay away from that part of the store but Ken spends
some time picking out a bag of candy.
Fruits and vegetables are sold there too on the other side of the store.
They have spices and some speciality items too.
I should have taken a picture inside the store.
Next time I will.
We there today for Granny Smith apples to make either a pie or
an apple crisp for Thanksgiving.

We were home for lunch and then made another trip out
to go to the library.
Ken checked out two books and I got one.

After being out two times today I didn't feel like
doing work around the house so read and knitted.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your day was happy and bright. ๐Ÿ™‚

...it warmed up into the 50s here today. It's hard to see how they will lay black top on the drive thru this fall. Our black top plants close at Thanksgiving.

Hi Karen - Candy Land sounds like a fun place. We are cold here in Utah today, but we have bright sunshine and it really is lovely. Charly and I just finished our walk. I am planning to do some reading while dinner is in the oven. See you again tomorrow. :-)

This is SUCH a good time for anything baked apple!! I bet the bulls were happy for the hay/straw in the feeders.

Ken ... Is he just like a kid in a candy store? What kind did he choose?

It warmed up here too, but then it rained all day, so we have plenty of mud too!

Here it was cold all day.

I had to smile at the idea that candy is separated from the healthy fruits and veggies. We have Bulk Barn here that has all kinds of candy and baking supplies but I've found they don't sell enough and the products can be old so now I avoid that store.

That's a nice picture of the construction work going on at the bank. It could very well be a scene from along Ken's tracks. I doubt we would ever know. :~) When I dress too warmly, I sometimes hang pieces of clothing on a fence or tree limb, then go back for it later in my side-by-side.

I wore flip flops both yesterday and today! But probably won't be doing that tomorrow, except here at home. Having to wear shoes is the one thing I really dread about winter.

It is fun watching to see what develops...

Sounds like a fun store. That's a lot of material for that drive thru. I like the stone bench. Hope you are having a relaxing evening.

I think I would like to visit Candy Land! Isn't it funny how a trip or two out and about can tire us right out?

Sounds like ideal walking weather.
Candy Land sounds like an interesting place. I applaud you for being able to choose apples over candy.

I am very pleased that it has warmed up some. I was starting to get nervous. It's in the 40s here yet. How nice to have a candy store with the old timey candies. Good for Ken picking up a few goodies. Candy is handy while playing games.

That store sounds like a delightful place to browse and with fun things to buy... looking forward to seeing a picture of it one of these days.

Glad that it warmed up enough for you to walk outside.
Nice that the cows had some nice straw to get out of the mud too.

Smiles :)
