Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Tuesday

20 degrees this morning when I went walking.
It was calm though and once the sun rose it stayed around.
When the temperature gets down in the low 20's I don't wear all
those layers but put on my VERY WARM coat.
Just wear a sweatshirt underneath.
Can't wear it when the temperature is any warmer or it is just too warm.
It was perfect for today's walk.

Had my usual walk around town, the cemeteries and the ball park.

Joy was out walking too.
Last week she mentioned that she couldn't find gloves to
keep her hands warm.  I told her what I do - tuck my hands up my sleeves.
Today I noticed she wasn't wearing cloves but had her hands
tucked up her sleeves.
She said her hands were nice and warm. 🙂

Walked 6 miles

Today's town decoration is a Candy Cane.
Was going to crop it but since a lot of you liked the church
in the picture yesterday I kept it in today too.

If you look closely you can see the next decoration down the road
which will be tomorrows picture.

⛅️    🙂    ⛅️

I spent most of today cleaning the house.  Wanted to get most
things done so I can have tomorrow for baking.

Ken went food shopping on his own this morning so I could get
started right away on cleaning.

It is usually just the two of us for Thanksgiving.
This year it will be so nice having David and Liz here with us.
A friend of David's (Another Dave) will be coming up from
Asheville and spending the day here with us too.
I'm so looking forward to Thanksgiving and I'm so thankful!!

By mid afternoon I was glad to stop cleaning and take some
time to read.  My book is VERY GOOD.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hope your day is a happy one. 🙂

The one from yesterday or today's either would make a wonderful greeting card.

With your hands staying warm tucked up in your sleeves, I wonder if mittens might work better than gloves. Probably still not as good as tucked up in your sleeves, though.

Hi Karen - so glad you are having David and Liz and David's friend with you for Thanksgiving. That will be so much fun for you all! I am wondering if that white church is the one you and Ken go to. Also, are you still reading the Ken Follett book? I hope you have a good time baking tomorrow and preparing for Thanksgiving. See you again soon!
