Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

An early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.
~Henry David Thoreau

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Frozen Puddles

Nice when the sun rose and I got to walk in the sunshine.
It was 22 degrees but very still.

Walked first to the library to drop of a DVD, then on
through town and around the ball park loop once.
Continued walking down the main road to where the curve is.
Went up this farm driveway a little ways before turning around
and walking back to town.

On the way back I took a quick walk around the industrial park.
Then back through town and around the cemetery on top of the hill.
Walked around there a few times because it was so nice to be
in full sunshine.  Joy was there too doing the same thing!!

Always like to see the designs in the frozen puddles.

The Amish men are finishing up the roof job on the church this morning.
They were doing the sign out front and the roof over the door entrance.

Driving back home I saw a couple of wild turkeys. πŸ¦ƒ
They should be in hiding with it being Thanksgiving tomorrow. πŸ™‚

Walked 6.2 miles

Today's decoration is an Angel and the last one with the
 church in the picture.

☀️    πŸ™‚    πŸ¦ƒ

This morning was baking time in the kitchen.
Baked cookies and pies.

In the afternoon I had fun setting the table.
I know it is early but just like to look at it for a while.
Tomorrow it will be nice to see the table filled with all good things to eat.

Read again this afternoon.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
πŸ™‚ Hope your day was a happy one filled with sunshine. ☀️

Anni - Yes the town decorations stay light day and night.

Deb - Yes, still reading the Ken Follett book - a little more than half done.  Ken finished it so quickly because all he did for two days was read! : )
No, the church in town is not the one we go to.  Our church is located in Oakland, 20 miles away.

Victor - No, have never been inside the church in town.

I know you are excited about Thanksgiving tomorrow and I know you will all have a wonderful day. I love the pictures of the frozen puddles. You always see such interesting things. Other people probably wouldn't even look. Have a great weekend with those you love. See you again soon!

...you are a bit colder than here. I love the church steeple illuminated. Today I made cranberry sauce, apple sauce, an apple pie and butternut squash. We are in good shape for tomorrow.
