Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Didn't wake up till 7:00 this morning so got a late
start walking.
It was 39 degrees and sunny.

Walked around town, the two cemeteries and around
the industrial park.

A light frost here at the cemetery.

Saw Joy and Rebecca out walking.
They both said they got a late start this morning too!!

A Halloween decoration in a yard I pass each morning.

Since I was late walking I got to walk in the light and sunshine.
Walked 6 miles
Retired a pair of walking shoes this morning.
(I wonder just how many pairs of shoes I've gone through)

Food shopping day.
We went first to the Dollar General and then to the Shop and Save.
What we couldn't get at the DG we picked up at the S&S.

By the time we got home and put things away it was almost
lunch time.

Did a couple of things around the house after lunch and
Ken went out to 'play' on his tractor.

I went outside for my what is fast becoming a daily afternoon
hike around Happy Trails.

Weather is just too NICE to be inside!!

This evening I plan to read, knit, and maybe make a weave-it or two.

 That's it for today.
Thanks for visiting.
A happy day to you. πŸ™‚

I've wondered when you'd ever start using your trails for actually hiking!

Looks like a beautiful day. See you again tomorrow.

I was going to ask if that was frost! It won't be long here, if we haven't already had it and I missed it. The weather is just gorgeous here, too.

How long does a pair of walking shoes last you?

The frost is a good touch.

No frost here yet. I'm just ready for cold weather yet. Like you, I just can't stay inside on the beautiful sunny cool days.

Looks like a beautiful day. There is something about those stairs that make my eyes cross. We passed so many Dollar Generals and never stopped but we thought of you!

It always takes me awhile to adjust to cold frosty mornings. I love your walking sign along the Happy Trail.

Doing the grocery shopping, taking a walk, doing a bit of housework and the day passes by. Looks like you had sunshine again. It made nice shadows on stairs #20.

That frost is a reminder of winter coming.

God bless.

I would not like waking up to frost 'cause I know what is soon coming...winter.
Love the stairway and shadows too.

We haven't had a frost yet, but it probably will not be too long before we do!

Lovely photographs.

All the best Jan
