Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Tuesday

52 degrees this morning and once the sun rose there
was a mix of sun and clouds.
Half of my walk lately has been in the dark!

Saw those deer again while on the way to town.
They sleep at the edge of the corn field and I wake
them up when I drive by.

Parked the Jeep in the library parking lot this morning.
Over by the pond where I usually park was filled with
work trucks and paving equipment.

Don't know where they are working because I didn't see any
road work being done and when I walked by later they were all gone.

Had my usual walk around town, the cemeteries, and the ball park.

John was out for his morning walk as well as Joy.

Didn't take any walking pictures.

👟 Walked 5.8 miles 👟

Food shopping day at the Shop and Save and we got that over
with right after breakfast.

Just couldn't get up any motivation to do any house work
on such a pretty fall day so I spent most of my day outside.
Though I did get the sheets washed and hung out to dry.
Walked around Happy Trails while Ken continues making his roads.

This coke sign we picked up at an auction years ago.
It hangs on one of our outbuildings.

That's all I have for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy Tuesday to you. 🙂

But in October what a feast to the eye our woods and groves present!
The whole body of the air seems enriched by their calm, slow radiance.
They are giving back the light they have been absorbing from the sun all summer.

Love the lattice work behind the steps...a down home country feeling.

...the nasterium are happy growing beside the stops. I have never seen so many mushrooms as this year. I'd love to have a Coke sign.

Lovely colors of fall.

We had mist this morning...then got a bit of sunshine this afternoon. I would have kicked the heat on if it were just me here. To take the dampness away.

Hi Karen - I love your old Coke sign. We almost bought an old Coke sign some years back, but we decided we didn't really have a place for it. Having it in one of you out buildings is perfect. See you again tomorrow.

Love that coke sign. I used to work for Coke back in the late 70s. Every Christmas they used to give their employees some Coke memorabilia. I had a coke phone that resembled a coke bottle.

The picture I like best today is the country road with Autumn coloured trees. I'd love to go walking there.
