60 degrees this morning with rain on the way when I
started walking this morning.
Walked up and down the main road of town in the dark
when I first got there.
Not long after the sky turned this pink/orange color with a reflection on the pond.
The next few miles it started to rain and then stopped a couple
minutes later.
Walked around town and the ball park loop
where I saw Roger walking his dog Andy.
Nice to shuffle though the leaves.
What a great sound.
Lastly I walked up to the cemetery on top of the hill.
On the way up the hill Lena was making her way down.
Made a couple of loops around there,
went down to see the bulls,
and coming back up to the cemetery with just 1/2 mile
left of my walk I could see the rain coming.
Sure glad I wore my rain pants and slicker
because it sure did rain!!!
Walked 6 miles

Stairs Number 18
Leads to a parking lot at the back of the brick church on the corner.

I had more pumpkin to use up so made another batch of 3
loaves of pumpkin bread. All three of these went into the freezer.
A good thing it freezes well because I still have more pumpkin left.
It was a rainy day and very windy at times, temperatures dipped
a bit lower too.
This afternoon was spent reading and knitting.
Hope your Saturday was a happy one. 🙂
Thanks for dropping by.

October is the month
When the smallest breeze
Gives us a shower
Of autumn leaves.
Bonfires and pumpkins,
Leaves sailing down —
October is red
And golden and brown...

Beautiful photos.
...the sunrise is fabulous and so is the reflection on the pond.
Hi Karen - Oh that first picture is stunning! We had rain last week and more is expected on Monday, but we are having a beautiful fall weekend out here in Utah - crisp and sunny. I am getting my garden ready for colder days ahead. See you again tomorrow. Have a good one.
What a sky!
I always loved shuffling my feet through the dry leaves.
That sky is beautiful.
It is lovely to shuffle your feet through dry Autumn leaves.
All the best Jan
The color of the sky and reflection really turned out beautifully! And I love seeing the path of leaves. I think we are supposed to have a front come through from the North and cool things off here too! Enjoy your weekend!
That first photo is wonderful...so beautiful.
What a magnificent picture you started out with today. So beautiful! After a couple of rainy days, we were much cooler this morning. Surely did make for some great hiking through the woods.
Such a beautiful sky!!
I like today's stairs and that pink handrail.
We walked in the rain too this morning but it wasn't a real downpour, just a light rain ( and I had my big umbrella).
Beautiful photos, I love the sky and reflection. The leaves and view of the corn, all look lovely. I am going to make some pumpkin bread soon, YUM.
Take care, have a great day and a happy new week!
A gorgeous sky indeed!
Stunning Sun Rise Karen- great photography- enjoy your Autumn. Regards. KEV.
Wow!! That sky!!!!
Gorgeous photo!
Header material! -smile-
Glad you got most of your walk in, without rain. And could shuffle through the leaves, before they got all wet.
And perfect weather for baking pumpkin bread, for winter!

The mushroom is edible...wonder who first discovered that. 🙂
