Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Done for another 6 months

A bit of fog around when I first started walking.
62 degrees and no breeze.
Sun was shining after a few miles.
Sunrise 6:58

Walked all over town up and down all the side streets.

Quite a few people were out today.
Rebecca
Joy
John
Margaret
A new runner
a new dog walker
and of course me.

I've watched the roof on this out building get worse and worse
over the years, and it has finally started collapsing.

Walked 6 miles

This one is starting to look a bit worn.

The 6 months from our last dental cleaning appointment as passed
already so today it was back to the dentist for a cleaning.
Latisha, the hygienist who I really liked retired two cleanings ago.
The new one was okay.
Ken had the other new one Katelyn last time and liked her
so this time I had her too.
She was great and will ask for her every time!!
Anyway all good news from the dentist.
We both have good and healthy teeth and gums.
I only hope these next 6 months go by a little more slowly. πŸ˜€

From the dentist we went to the Shop and Save for food shopping.
Got everything put away and had lunch and then
 I made some Forgotten Cookies.

A relaxing afternoon after that of reading,
knitting and sitting on the porch.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you. πŸ™‚

Fog seems to be so rare here. I like seeing the mist in that shot.

Hi Karen. I cancelled my last dental appointment. I need to reschedule. I am also due for a cleaning. I think I will try those cookies. I like the idea of 25 calorie cookies! Have a good evening!

I love fog in the morning, that is common where I live right near the Pacific Ocean. It keeps the day cooler which I like; I melt in the heat.

...the first image is a beauty! the block and tile building should last a long time with a new roof!

We haven't had any foggy mornings yet but they're coming!! I like fog but am always afraid for the kids walking to school in it and drivers not being careful. |
Good for both of you with good reports from the dentist.

You certainly meet many people ... and animals ... on your walks. Coins too.

God bless.

Nice foggy shot. That shed does need some TLC. I always like to have the dentist over with. Glad all went well and that you could have a relaxing evening.

Love the foggy first shot...I love fog as long as I don't have to drive/travel in it. LOL You saw a lot of people this morn!

Always good to get that cleaning appointment out of the way. The 6 months sure do go by fast though!

Great news at the dentist! Looks like some work is going to be underway where the roof has fallen!

It's always a relief when you leave a dentist office. Good that you had no issues.

With the ladders and scaffolding, wondering if someone is actually going to fix that roof????

Your Subject Line made me think, of some winterizing project. -smile- Like we just had our pool closed and 'tucked in' for the winter.

Sounds like a good day! I imagine you'll be seeing more and more people out walking once the weather turns cooler. Happy Thursday!
