Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Three Times the Deer

A cloudy morning and 58 degrees, with just a slight breeze.
Walked the cemeteries, ball park, over by the industrial park
and around town.

On the way to town I spotted a deer.
Walking around town I saw 6 bunnies - here's one of them.

The deer in all three of these pictures is the same one.
Saw it first by the lower cemetery.
Walking up the hill to the other cemetery it was running across the
field up to where I was.
Then I saw it go down to the Drane house and when I got
there, the deer was there too.

The laundromat and car wash in town is For Sale.

The Rolling Pin Bakery in town closed today and they were loading up
vans and taking things over to their new location which is
down the road less than a mile away where Annies Kitchen was.
Won't be long now before they open up the new place.

Saw Rebecca out walking Leo.
A young couple probably in their 20's were walking around town
holding hands. ❤️

Walked 6.2 miles

☁️    🚶‍♀️    ☁️    🌼

We made a quick trip to the Dollar General and when we got
home Ken went outside and spent quite a lot of time out there
with the weed wacker getting things tidy.
Doesn't take long for everything to get so overgrown.

I did some things in the house and then went outside and puttered about.
Did some weeding, raking, walking, and just enjoyed being outside.

Before supper we sat out on the front porch for awhile
listening to all the birds.

It's been a good day.

Thanks for stopping by.

I think that deer was following you. Sounds like a good day. Simple pleasures like sitting out on the porch listening to the birds, are some of the very best things life has to offer. Glad you had a good day. See you again soon.

How neat that you saw that deer three times. Wow, it was a bit cooler this morning for you. Bet it was a really nice walk. Bunnies everywhere. How good can it get? And seeing a couple in love, well, that was especially wonderful. Have a lovely evening!

...a beautiful barn. My garden isn't doing well because of the rabbits!

The deer was walking with you, maybe it will become your new walking partner. Beautiful photos as always and I'm so glad it was a good day. Have a nice evening and a beautiful Sunday!

Don't I know it doesn't take long for things to need weedwacking done and mowing around here. You had some nature companions today.

Yardwork is as challenging as housework...things need doing over and over again. There is the thrill of seeing everything tidy again.

I think the deer likes you and is curious about your morning wanderings.

I love to see couples holding hands. I especially enjoyed your pictures today. The first one is my favorite. Millie chases our bunnies but they are too fast for her. And, they zig-zag! :~)

Sad to see a business close, but that is happening a lot. I saw a baby deer in our neighbors yard just yesterday.

Glad life is good - love the name weed wacker! A wander seeing deers and bunny rabbits would be a lovely one for me too!

We saw two deers today nibbling the leaves on a low hanging branch. Unfortunately we also saw two dead deers on the highway a few miles apart. Absolutely hate seeing that.

It always so good to stop by your blog, Karen. (Even though I was looking for the t-shirt company Life is Good this afternoon. Your blog came up because I come here so often. I'd forgotten you shared a name with them. Ha ha!!) 😂
