Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The Purple Toilet

A windy, cloudy morning with the threat of thunderstorms
and 66 degrees.
Never did rain while I was walking though so got to finish my walk dry.

Walked around town, the ball park, and cemeteries.

Another collage - this time a few streets around town.

Rebecca was out walking Leo and another woman out walking her dog too.

Another couple of trees are being taken down - some mighty tall pine trees.

Here's something you don't see too often in a front yard.
This purple toilet has been moving around from yard
to yard for a while now.

Walked 6 miles

☁️    🙂    💨

After breakfast we made our weekly Saturday morning stop
at the Dollar General.

It was windy and looked like rain all day and it finally did late in the day.

I had a nice day just puttering about.
Got some reading done, a few weave-its made, and knitted.

I made pizza dough and Ken made the pizza which we had for supper.
David got back home yesterday and he and Liz came over
and ate with us.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you had a happy Saturday.

Replying to a the comments about snakes - Snakes really don't bother me.  The black snake is a good snake to have around, they eat mice!
The two poisonous snakes we have around here are the Timber Rattlesnake and the Eastern Copperhead, but I have never seen them here at Happy Trails.  Besides the black snake I've seen ribbon and garter snakes around here but they run away if you come upon one.

Ms BB - There is a link to the Drane house just below the posts and also a link to James Drane.
We go to bed around 11:30.

Looks like the purple toilet may be some kind of fundraiser. You had a nice day and got a lot done. Glad that David and Liz could join you for dinner. Have a great Sunday! See you then.

How interesting....a purple toilet with Flush out Cancer signs.
I have pizza dough rising right now and since it's past 5 I really must go assemble our pizzas. Have a blessed Sunday.

You live in such a beautiful little town! It's funny how many unusual things you come across like the purple toilet and I still miss the boots. I'm glad you didn't get rained on for your walk, although I know you would have just kept going anyway. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. :)

Another great collage. It's a pretty little town, for sure. Ken can get lots of ideas here for his train layout.

Hi Karen. Cold, windy and rainy here- we're well wrapped up for Winter. Had my second AstraZenica Vaccine the other day so I'm alright and no side effects. Have a great week there. KEV.

What an eye catching fund raiser! For a beloved Coach! ( The moving purple toilet )

You certainly do not require much sleep! Lucky you.

Gentle hugs...

I know purple ribbons are for testicular cancer...fundraising brilliance with the toilet.

Pretty & quiet streets where you walk when in "town"

(I just had a slice of pizza for lunch)

Nice photos, those pine trees are very tall. I wonder why they are being removed.

I love "puttering" days! The purple toilet seems like a great, fun way to raise money for a good cause.

The purple toilet obviously has a purpose, but that is very purple and not something I would allow in my house.

That purple toilet catches your attention and causes you to read the message for sure. Cancer is a beast! Nice collages!
