Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

No Rain Today

35 degrees and no rain this morning.
A mix of sun and clouds while out walking.

The usual walk around town, the cemeteries and the ball park.

Saw Rebecca out walking twice, once walking Leo and the second
time by herself.  Both times from a distance.
One fisherman at the pond.

I hardly ever see one goose alone flying around but only saw one
this morning.  Saw it a few times, like it was looking for something.

Only two bulls out this morning, couldn't really tell if there were others
in the barn.  Maybe more of them moved to new homes.

Some pretty purple flowers in the sun growing along the side of the road.

It was delightful to be walking in the sunshine.
Walked 6 miles

🌤    🙂    🌸

Did a couple loads of laundry and hung outside on the line to dry.
Was busy doing housework all morning and part of the afternoon
getting caught up since I didn't do anything the last few days.

When I got tired of doing housework I read and knitted.

Today was our Pastors Birthday.
Sometimes he reads my blog and if you're reading today Pastor,
Happy Birthday and hope you had a wonderful day.
Thanks so much for being such a dedicated pastor and friend.

That about took care of the day.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your Thursday was a happy one.

After the rain you’ve had, the sunshine must be very welcome.

Funny you mentioned seeing a goose flying alone because I was just mentioning to my husband that I have seen several and that it was pretty strange! Thanks for the dill bread recipe.

Nice to be walking in the sun. You may call them something different but here those purple flowers are called Honesty and are often used in dried flower arrangements. I'd be tempted to replant a few in the verges nearer home as they are quite good at self-seeding. Or is that illegal, it would be in the UK?
