A warm 60 degrees this morning and the weather was quite a mix.
Started out cloudy, had a 2 minute rain shower, windy,
and then a bit of sun.
Cloudy again when I arrived home.
The rest of the day was like that too, even a thunder storm in the afternoon.
Cemeteries, ball park, and around town.
Walking past the day care center a little girl got out of a car
and said, "Hi Karen!!" to me. I met her and her mom at a neighbors
house almost 2 years ago and haven't seen them since.
I couldn't believe she remembered my name.
Her mom told me just about every morning her daughter spots me walking.
Her mom told me just about every morning her daughter spots me walking.
If she doesn't see me she asks where I am and if I'm okay.
For some reason she's taking a liking to me. 🙂
I like this gate leading to a back yard.
Reminds me of the secret garden.
The brook behind the ball park.
Everything is turning green.
Another great morning for walking.
Walked 6 miles

Ken needed some things at Lowe's and when we were there this morning
I picked out some veggie plants for my very small garden.
I got 2 eggplant plants, 2 pepper, and 1 zucchini.
Can't put them in the ground here till after Memorial day.
Wanted to get a cucumber plant too but they didn't have any yet.
No tomatoes because our neighbor grows a lot of them and always
gives us as many as we can use.
Maybe this year I'll be able to give them some of my produce!!
Ken asked if I'd make some Caramels so I did.
It is such an easy recipe and I ruined it by burning it.
Was going to make another batch but Ken said not to worry about it
and just make it again another day.
He left to do some stuff outside and
I of course I made another batch of Caramels for him.
The reason it burned the first time is because I forget an ingredient,

The reason it burned the first time is because I forget an ingredient,
the corn syrup!!
That's all for today.
A happy day to you.
A happy day to you.
A smile from me 🙂 to you. 🙂

Ms BB - That nice back yard that you like is the yard of the Day Care Center. The kids play out there often. They always look like they are having so much fun. The people who work there seem to enjoy playing with the kids too. If I had little kids I'd be happy to leave them there.

Forgot the syrup. This sounds like something I'd do, not you. Ken, I'm sure, appreciates the 2nd batch.
It DOES look like something from the secret garden!!
I love that the little girl is keeping an eye out for you and remembered your name. How sweet. Love that gate...enchanting. Glad your second batch of caramels came out! Have a good evening!
...it's nice that the little girl looks forward to seeing you.
these greens remind me of the Bird Box film (Sandra Bullock) ., so serene and nice place to live but sometimes spooky .. ;p
I so love that gate...love the swallow carved in the top...
I do like that gate.
That gate makes a perfect picture. It does look like a secret garden and very inviting .
That is so sweet that the little girl remembers you and watches for you. Little ones are so so heartwarming. I love the gate, it really does look like the Secret Garden! I need to try what you do with just a very small garden. Every time I've tried to have a decent size garden I somehow manage to kill everything. Glad you made Ken the new batch of caramels. I would do something like forgetting the corn syrup too! :D
Hi Karen. I like that gate too. I think I will get some plants for my little container garden this weekend. It still isn't super warm here, but I don't think we will have any more freezing nights. That's so sweet that the little girl remembers you. I am sure she remembers you because you are so nice. :-) Your caramels sound so good. Hope you have a good Wednesday and I will see you then!
If you would have had a few snow flurries you would have had all possible weather all in one day!!
I too like that gate.
A beautiful gate.
God bless.
Pretty photos, I love the gate!
The little girl is a sweetie, looking out for you.
Have a happy day!
How sweet that the little girl remembers you. I love the garden gate too and you're right, it does remind one of the Secret Garden. I've never made caramels but I have often forgotten an ingredient in a recipe! Have a great day!
Ken deserved those caramels and you were kind to make more.
The little girl who has taken a liking to you is a sweetie. What fun!
We can't plant until after Memorial Day as well. I am trying to keep a Shasta daisy going.
Cold and rainy here. I should go out and weed today. I have a grove of oak trees growing among the irises.
Hi Karen- You'l enjoy the Eggplant - one of my favorite vegetables- we had Eggplant tonight for tea- delicious. Have a great day. KEV.
That's a very attractive gate.
How sweet about that little girl! That caramel recipe sounds delicious!
Gorgeous sky photo! And did you see? Right in the middle... A bit 'up'.... There is a "Faerie"!!!! -smile-
Now not everyone would agree, that that is a "Faerie". I know... I know... But that is what I see, in so many photos. -smile- >,-)))))

How sweet that that little girl, notices you and worries about you!!!! Just precious!
Oh that gate! And oh that brook!
We are not too terribly far apart, and I see, that you too say, don't plant till Memorial Day!!!!
My neighbor makes caramels, to *die for.* It is her husband's uncle's recipe. And has a delightful saltiness, which I happen to love. I think I figured out, the 'secret.'
I'm not familiar with making candy but.... Think one would pour such, into a pan, to cool..... And one would butter the insides of the pan... So.... Put salt on the buttered sides, bottom, before pouring candy in.
And thus, when a piece is popped into the mouth, there is a *burst* of salt, along with the delicious caramel sweetness.
Maybe????????????????????????
Of course, not everyone would like salt, on caramels, I know.
Ahhhh, that nice back yard, is the Day Care Center! They must be a good place. Little things, like maintaining grass, means they take care of their business property. Not letting it just get "run into the ground," by little feet.
