Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Puzzle

A cool morning for walking today.
34 degrees, cloudy, and just a slight breeze.
Sunrise - 6:35

As usual parked in the parking lot by the town pond.
Then walked around both cemeteries.

Went down to say good morning to the bulls.
Not as many there this morning.
Walking back up the road I saw Farmer Marvin in his truck.
He stopped to chat for a bit.
8 of the bulls were sold yesterday and they went to 3 different
farms in West Virginia and 3 more were being picked up today.
Farmer Marvin told me that it is calving season and that 115
of them have been born so far.  Last night twins were born and both
are doing fine!!
I enjoy these little chats of ours.

Next walked through town and over to the industrial park
and walked around there.

Back through town, to the car and home once again.
Walked 6 miles

☁️    🐂    🙂    🚶‍♀️

A drive to town and the Dollar General for a bit of food shopping.
Then went across the street to the lumber yard.

It's been another cool, cloudy day so I stayed inside again and did some
knitting and reading.
I finally broke down and started one of our new jigsaw puzzles.
It has 1000 pieces.
The picture on the box and the paper picture you see here is a little
bit different than the actual puzzle.
When the puzzle is completed there are 10 different objects
in the puzzle that are not pictured and you have to see if you
can find the 10 missing items in the completed puzzle.

So that's been my Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.

Wow, cannot imagine have over a hundred new calves...but I sure would like to see them. I can't wait to see the puzzle when it is finished.

I so enjoy tagging along on your walks. That's a lot of calves! I bet Farmer Marvin is one busy guy right now! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Enjoy that puzzle. It sounds hard to me if it is slightly different than the picture.

Hi Karen - you sure are learning a lot about bulls and cattle business. It's always good to learn new things. I love your puzzle - that looks like a very interesting one. See you again tomorrow. Have a good Sunday.

It seems like a good idea to work on a puzzle these chilly Spring days. We went to a bull auction today, but when the one we wanted behaved so badly, we came home without one.

Your chats with Farmer Marvin do sound interesting. It would be fun to see the newborn calves.
That puzzle has a fun new twist.

It's nice that the cemetery gets a visitor most every day, I think. I just started my second jigsaw puzzle as a grownup. I'm not doing all that well, but then there's no hurry to complete it. I'm so glad I've picked up this new hobby. I enjoy it a lot. Im sure you will finish yours in no time, it looks way too hard for me to try.

So nice that you can chat with the farmer, and get the latest details.

Oh my! Puzzles intimidate me! Have never done one. But so many people, love doing them.

And the boots are gone. But a glove remains....

I always enjoy going along with you on your walks, Karen, though I haven't blogged in months, I have been trying to up my miles but only reached 6 a couple of times, most times its 4 miles. 115 calves is awesome, Farmer Marvin must have a pretty big operation. I sure miss our few cows, dh says he is going to buy a couple just for me. LOL.
Have a blessed day.

That's a lot of calves. Good luck with the puzzle. My wife and I were talking sunrises and sunsets this morning and how fast the daylight gets extended. Our sunrise is 06:23 and sunset is 20:40.

That's a lot of bulls! Spring and summer seem to offer more chances for conversations out and about. What an interesting twist for that puzzle. Enjoy!

Love puzzles with a twist! I have a few of those type waiting for me but not this one. Looking forward to seeing the finished puzzle. Will you take a picture of the puzzle and a picture of the picture and let your readers see if they can find the 10 objects?
