Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Monday

 A picture from yesterdays walk

πŸŒ„    πŸŒ„    πŸŒ„

45 degrees this morning when I left for my walk.
It was dry but supposed to start raining soon.
So this time I threw my rain pants and slicker in the Jeep just in case.
Didn't want to get caught in the rain unprepared again.
So of course the rain didn't come till after I was home.

Walked all around town, both cemeteries and the ball park
with a stop at the post office to mail another Bible lesson back.

Yesterday the boots were on top of the garbage can at the cemetery
and was still there in the same place this morning.

Didn't see any people about walking but had all the usual
waves and beeps from people in vehicles driving by.

Lots of geese around the town pond and also down by the farm pond.
Went down to see the bulls and all are fine today.
Farmer Mavin calls them 'the boys.'

Walked 6 miles

I'm usually not hungry when I'm walking but I was this morning
and looked forward to breakfast which was French toast.

After breakfast we had to go out to do a few errands and
by that time it was raining which it did on and off for the rest of the day.

Finished all the weave-it squares for the baby blanket and
started sewing the squares together.
Probably take me a couple of days before it will be finished.

Got a little housework done
and enjoyed some time reading and knitting too.

It's been another good day
and hope yours was too.
Thanks for stopping by.

Those boots look like they are not too worn out...am I right. I probably am wrong. Maybe someone got tired of seeing them and put them there. I would still love to know the story behind them.

I love that Farmer Marvin calls the bulls 'the boys.'

Your breakfast sounds delicious. Lots of butter & syrup for me please!! That yellow bush is pretty. And lately, I look forward to seeing those boots.

Gorgeous sunrise photo! Of course it didn't rain on your walk, you were prepared. It will only rain if you are unprepared. That's just the way life works ;) I hope the boots don't walk themselves into the can, I want them to keep going. I can't wait to see the blanket when you're all done and I think I've just decided on French toast for breakfast tomorrow - yum!

...what a way to start your day! It would be fun to find out who is moving the boots around.

Hi Karen. I love the first picture in this post. So pretty. I wonder if those boots will hop right into the garbage can, now that they have had a good tour of the cemetery. Have a good Monday night and I will see you tomorrow.

I was wondering if whoever was moving the boots around was tired of doing it and put the boots on the garbage can in preparation for putting them IN tomorrow.

I enlarged your first picture and love it so much. I think we are all wanting the mystery of the boots solved.

Pretty view of the sunrise. I guess the person moving the boots is done now, putting them on the trash can. It has been rainy lately, but I guess we can use the rain. Have a great day!
