Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A sunny day

A nice sunny walk this morning, 38 degrees and no wind.

A quiet morning in town.
Walked around both cemeteries, the ball park, and town.
The bulls were all doing fine. Farmer Marvin put more
bulls in with the few that were left because there's a lot of them there again.
Happy to say that #55 is still there.

Thought the Drane house looked nice with the sun shining on it
and with the trees starting to get leaves.

Walked 6.2 miles

🌤    🙂    🌼

Ate breakfast, got the sheets washed and hung outside on the line
and then we left to get some errands done.
Went to the bank.
Truck had a tire with a slow leak so we stopped and got the fixed.
A stop at Lowes.
Dropped off baby blankets that I had made at the church.

After lunch it was still sunny and in the 50's so I went outside.
Weeded and churned up the little asparagus garden we have out back.
Then cleaned up the daisy and the cone flower gardens - weeded
and got rid of the dead flowers and leaves from last year.
Both daisies and cone flowers have little shoots starting.

Got a few things done inside before supper
and now it's time to enjoy the evening.
No ice cream for my snack later - having chocolate chip cookies instead.

That's it for today.
Hope your day was a good one.
Thanks for stopping by.

Doesn't it feel great to be able to work outside again? It does my heart good to see those little green shoots peeking up through the dirt! Have a great week!

Happy to hear your bull is still around and that you could enjoy a sunny walk and day. We have sunshine today, too, and our kids had sunshine on their drive back over the mountains today which is good. I'm looking forward to a bowl of ice cream after Bible Study tonight. Got a Tillamook tub of Banana Split! Enjoy your evening!

My coneflowers are just beginning to grow and I'm happy that they came through the winter. They totally disappeared and I was afraid it was too wet for them in the new area but obviously they survived just fine. Isn't it exciting when things begin to grow again!!

Hi, Glad to read that you out there still walking each morning.... I'm sure you have many new friends in those areas --as you walk the area.

I often think of you --and remember watching your little mountain cabin being built. Bet you have really enjoyed that cabin through the years...

Do you two ever go to Blackwater Falls area in WVirginia? It cannot be too far from you . We've been there a few times --and love that area...

Have a God-Filled Day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Ohhhhh, you are going to miss your bull, when he goes off to his new home!!!

It's been precious, that you saved him, and have this sort of relationship with him, though.
