Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sunny Day

This little chorus popped into my head this morning like it does quite often.

🎵 Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
My, oh my, what a wonderful day
Plenty of sunshine headin' my way
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay! 🎵

It was a beautiful sunny walk this morning around town.
28 degrees and no wind.

Walked all around town and both cemeteries and the ball park.

The sidewalks in town are covered in grit and gravel from the spreading
of it on the roads for ice and snow.
Sometime in spring after the last snow fall it all gets cleaned up.

No one else out walking which was surprising on such a pretty morning.

Anni - Saw this and right away thought of you.
This picture is for you.

Walked my usual 6 miles

☀️    🙂    ☀️

Temperature rose to 43 degrees so I hung the laundry outside on the line
and did a few other house chores.

Spent quite a bit of time writing a post for another blog I started a few weeks ago.  It is mainly for myself to keep track of all the things I knit or make.
Today I posted a picture and patterns of the little sachets I knitted.
If you are interested you can see it
HERE.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.

HillTop: Can't say that breathing cold air bothers me but I do have a ski mask which I wear under my hoody.  Don't put it over my nose and mouth though - just wear it up over my chin if it's cold, otherwise I just put it under my chin.

That first picture is a great one. It looks like your snow is all gone. There's nothing like a sunny day to lift one's spirits.

That song and a couple others pop into my head fairly often....well, hard to explain. When we are having a beautiful day, and used to at work in the fall when picking apples...I was always singing We're off to see the Wizard, the wonder wizard of oz....and my mind just went blank as to the other. YOu would think I knew myself well enough till that didn't happen. OH!

Oh, Its a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the Neighborhood......

Was in the 60's here today...

I think someone carved a 'heart' shape in that tree, and the tree, did its "fix a hurt." Maybe???

Wondering about the cover your face question.... Didn't read it so... But it brings to mind, the fact of seeing many people, walking by our house... It's a street, which borders walking paths, so many people are up here, for that.

Anyway, many are wearing masks! Which I would never do. Being out doors. Being perfectly able to keep away from other walkers. Being as I want the fresh air.

Unless, the day's air, is hurtful to the walker.

But to me, all this wearing masks *everywhere,* is mainly 'Virtue Signaling.'

From my research, we were masks inside. And the only 'inside' we do, is early morning grocery store quick stops, and doc appointments. Otherwise... Outside... No masks here...

Wow, I DO find a lot to chat about, in your blog, and your blog comments, don't I????????????????????? -grin-

My father-n-love can sing that song more joyful than Uncle Remus! I have loved hearing him sing it. I bought the movie, “Song of the South” about 10 years ago and I’m so glad I did. It’s such a sweet movie. I’m so glad to see that you can walk in town again. Spring has sprung here, lol..and my allergies are in full swing. But who cares..because MY OH MY WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!!
