Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The melt continues

Lots of snow melting going on today.
Sunny and the temperature reached 50 degrees - felt like summer.

Got my house chores done first thing this morning.
Then we left the house to do a few errands.
Dropped off the trash at the dump.
Picked up a few things at the Shop and Save.
Picked up some books at the library.
(Still having curb side pickup)

I went outside in the afternoon in the sunshine.

Walked around out back again in the snow for my walk.
Only got 4 miles in but walking in the snow I figured its like 6 miles.
There's our house down there through the trees.

Shoveled most of the snow off the deck so I'll be able to hang
the laundry outside if we have a nice day.

Always like to get some reading and knitting done in the afternoon
before supper.

It's supposed to rain tonight so more snow will be gone by morning.
Pretty sure I'll be driving to town in the morning for my walk.
Sure will be nice to get back to that - last time I could walk
in town was Jan 15th!!! Have NEVER gone that long before!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
A happy day to all.

PomPom - I may have looked cold sitting on the pile of snow but I sure wasn't.  I dress in layers and get hot when out walking!!

Bill - I know Catonsville well, we used to live near there in Ellicott City before moving up here. Pretty congested down that way!! We lived in Savage too at one time which is also near there.

...the blue sky looks beautiful. We hit 50 too, but had very little sun.

We had a lot of snow melting going on here today too! But there's more coming to take its place! It was nice to have a sunny, warm day though!

I am glad to know the big melt is underway. I think it is safe to say that our big snow is all gone after three wonderfully warm and sunny days. I also love the blue blue skies of winter.

Snow melting here as well, although it was a little colder today. Hope you get to walk in town tomorrow. See you then!

The rain has a way of melting the snow very quickly. Hope it doesn’t freeze and turn everything into ice.

I bet it feel.good to be getting back to your routine! It feels wonderful to be outside in shirtsleeves and not be cold. Dressing in layers is the only way to go...

You go girl wow 4 miles that is amazing. I figure if I go up and down my stairs 20 times a day I have gone at least 2.
You have more snow than we do here in Utah. Afraid we are going to be hurting for water come summer.

I hope today is good for you to walk! I know you've missed your usual routes. It's been nice here but we'll have fewer hikes in the hot months. Enjoy your day! Hugs!

It looks as snowy as here.

It rained hard all last night and when we went for a walk this morning there were some front gardens with standing water in them. The sun is soaking it up today. :) Thanks for the comment on Catonsville. I thought it was crowded back in 1999 when I was there. :)

Our snow is melting fast too now! Pretty soon there will only be snow where it was piled up while shoveling! I hope we don't get any more but it's still only the end of February! We can get plenty of snow in March!

Those town folk are going to be wondering what happened to you. Hope you were able to walk there today. Nice views through the trees. 50! That's snow melting weather for sure.

I like your Pedestrian sign :-)
Warmer weather coming up and you will be doing lots of outside walking again.

The blue sky, brown and grey tree trunks, and white snow makes for a nice contrast!
