Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

More snow but a little melting too

Sure was nice having that sunny day yesterday.
Today we are back to more snow.
This picture is from yesterday after I shoveled a path on the back deck.

This was from this morning.

Went outside walking today up and down the lane.
Turned left out of my driveway and walked up to the cows
which were in their own pasture today.
Coming back, driveway on right, and lane up ahead on the right.

It was 33 degrees with a bit of a wind and snowing when I started out.
Got warmer and by the time I was back home it had warmed up
even more to 37 and the snow had turned into a light rain.
The rain and warm temperature was a good start on getting some of
the snow melted.

Saw David when I was out walking.  We walked and talked for about
a half mile and then went on our separate ways.

Home all day getting some work done around the house.
I don't usually make lists but every so often I get in a list
mood and make them for a while.
Made one today, but didn't just put things on it that I wanted to
get done today but for ALL WEEK.
It is quite a long list.

Nice to spend some time reading, working on the puzzle,
and knitting this afternoon.

Life is Good 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.

I'm amazed when I look at your walls of snow beside the walkway.
Hopefully soon it will begin to melt.

Wow, you do have a lot of snow. How nice that you get to walk a little ways with your son some days. Our snow is melting. We have been sunny and up in the 40s here. I make lists for the whole week too. Hope you have a productive one! See you tomorrow!

Now that path took some serious shoveling! We are happy to have most of our snow gone now. I am a serious list maker, but rarely get everything done as planned.

Someone cut a nice neat path through the snow. It must be wonderful to get outside and do some walking again out there. My plowman just came so I must get out and clean up behind him.

The road in front of your home, goes down to "The Lane." Which does not have much traffic. Then you must have to drive on "The Lane," to get to a road, which does have traffic, and gets you to town or whatever...

How did I do?????? LOL

One thing about snow is once it warms up a little and the sun comes out it melts pretty fast! We had 47 and sunny today so a lot of our snow melted. There's even patches of grass showing!

We haven't had that much snow since we moved here but it could happen. That is quite the pathway through your snow. Glad you could get out and walk.
