Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wreath Cross

Liked this Wreath Cross at the church in town.

🎶 At The Cross 🎶

Isaac Watts

1. Alas, and did my Savior bleed,
And did my Sov'reign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For sinners such as I?

Chorus
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I receive my sight,
And now I am happy all the day.

2.  Was it for crimes that I had done
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity, grace, unknown,
And love beyond degree.

3. Well might the sun in darkness hide,
And shut His glories in
When Christ, the mighty Maker died
For man, the creature's sin.

4.  Thus might I hide my blushing face
While Calv'ry's cross appears,
Dissolve my heart in thankfulness,
And melt mine eyes to tears.

5. But drops of grief can ne'er repay
The debt of love I owe;
Here, Lord, I give myself away,
Tis all that I can do.

A beautiful sunny 30 degree for my walk today.
Usually don't see anyone out walking Sunday mornings
but today 5 people out walking their dogs!!
Happy to say all of them were on leashes.

A Blessed Sunday to all.
Thanks for stopping by.

Cheri - No, I don't ever get bored walking. It's just something I love to do.  Every day is something different. I know so many people from town just because I walk.  Nice to see whats going on in town. I have lots of waving and beeping friends who wave to me from cars and trucks as they pass by. Then there are the bulls, deer, horses and all the other animals I see. Morning is my favorite time of day and walking I get to see a new day begin every day.
Guess I got a bit carried away on answering your question. 🙂

I love that cross and wreath. That song reminds us that the manger was only the beginning . It is at the cross that Jesus laid down His life for us.

Hello,

The wreath cross is pretty. A 30° would have me walking quickly, just to keep warm. I am glad all the dogs were on leashes. Take care, have a happy new week!

That is a mighty humbling image. Perfect for a Sunday post, and for the season

PS, I saw your heart leaf in a previous post as I caught up while I wasn't posting.

You didn't get carried away:) I loved reading your reply. Sounds like you have very interesting walks. I walk in the same area and everything is usually the same. I see LOTS of squirrels and every once in a blue moon I'll see a bunny:) I need some new sites to take in!!!
