Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Washing windows and rolling pins

40 degrees this morning, calm, and sunny while walking.
Nice to see some deer on my way to town again, it has been awhile.
Didn't walk on any routes this morning,
just a random walk all over town.

Didn't see anyone else out walking this morning.

Some of the side streets I walk along are very narrow.

As I passed the library I dropped a book down the slot.
Geese still at both ponds and I walked down to see the
bulls and the horses again.

Walked 6 miles
Sure liking these nice sunny mornings for walking.

☀️    🙂    ☀️

Washed the living room and dining room windows.
A job I don't enjoy but like clean windows.
They say not to clean window in the sun but I think it is better
because I can see if any streaks are left right away.
I don't use any product at all anymore, just water, and then dry with
a micro fiber cloth. Works best of anything else I've tried.
I don't have curtains on my windows so clean windows are a must.

I have a rolling pin collection.
They have been standing up in a round wooden container for a very long time.
Got tired of looking at them there, so put the rolling pins in this
that Ken made years ago.

The day warmed up nicely to feel like summer again.
Really enjoying these days!!

Another afternoon to sit on the porch for a while.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy Monday to you.

Love love LOVE the Rice quote! Great idea for your rolling pins. We wash windows about once every 4-5 years (permanent hurricane shutters & heavy/cumbersome to remove). The narrow streets look quaint & European. Oh, and I do like the photo from your porch

I'm a fanatic window cleaner, no excuses it runs in the family 😁
Six mile hike... I'm impressed.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures.

I remember years ago when you suggested a product named Hope, I think. It was in a black bottle. I always thought that worked good, but when it was gone, I didn't replace it. I like the new cloths best with just water most of the time. Sometimes there is a bug or a naughty bird that demands more product. You are so right...curtainless windows must be clean. Besides you want to see all the beauty outside.

Those narrow streets are more like alleys. We have one or two of them in town.

Hope the weather lasts as long as it can!

Love the rolling pin display! Wonderful. Oh boy do our windows need cleaning. Glad you could get yours done! I thought of you when I found a dime in the Wal-Mart parking lot today!!

Good to see parts of the Town and narrow streets - glad your having fine weather. Last time I cleaned the Windows - I fell backwards from the Ladder into the Garden.

Clean windows are a wonderful thing. I was wiping down my windowsills with a damp micro fiber cloth and thought that I should also be doing the windows. Unfortunately it didn't go past the thinking stage :).
That is a fabulous collection of rolling pins and they look nice in the holder that Ken made. I love the one with the blue and white striped handle!
The narrow streets look like fun to walk on.
