Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Finished

55 degrees, cloudy and a little sunshine this morning when I walked.

Parked at the town pond once again and walked all over town.
Pretty quiet on this early Saturday morning
and didn't see any other people about.

Did see a lot of flying geese though.
They are hard to see in this first picture but they are there!
You will have to enlarge photo to see them.  Look just above the sun.

These are easier to see.

A splash of fall color.

Walked around both cemeteries and the ball park too.

A nice quiet 5.8 mile walk.

⛅️     🙂     ⛅️

We went to the Dollar General to use that coupon we got the other day.
I didn't see Lena walking today but did see her in the store!

Spent a good part of the day working on outlining the counted cross stitch
and very happy to say that it is now finished.

Before Outlining

 Outlining Completed

Now I can start on the next cross stitch project.

That's all folks.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy Saturday to you.

There is nothing quite like hearing the geese as they fly over....it is one of those sounds that sets my mind to dreaming.

I love your handwork...both before and after outlining.

Good for you finishing the outlining on your cross stitch! I wonder what pattern you'll choose next!
I love the red leaves in the middle of all the green trees. It's so striking!

I love to hear geese flying overhead. In a few weeks Sandhill Cranes will be coming to our area to stay for the winter. Love, love your pretty cross stitch!

Hi Karen, I really like that counted cross stitch. It looks great. I love your beautiful fall pictures. Hope you have a good Sunday. We are back on home church as COVID rates are super high around here. See you again soon.

We have seen several Geese flying by here too. We never really see the birds “fly South for the Winter”, then in donged on me that we LIVE in the South. Hahaha.
Love the cross stitch. I have never had the patience for it.

Your cross stitch is lovely, I haven't had to work on mine this summer, but days are getting shorter and work is slowing.
We have geese who wander in our pasture, about dusk they take flight, I always enjoy seeing them.
Thanks for sharing,
have a great day.

The cross stitch turned out beautifully. It will look so nice framed or are you turning it into a pillow?

I have seen a lot of geese in flight the last couple of days as well. Isn’t it interesting how much of a difference the outlining can make on a cross stitch project?

You take the most beaautiful sky pictures, and I love to see geese flying. That crossstitch is beautiful. It will be so pretty framed and on the wall.
