Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Dentist

It was a cloudy morning for walking today, 66 degrees and windy.

Walked to town and around the lower cemetery a couple of times.  Then just walked around town before heading back home again.

Work was being done on the building in front of the barn in yesterday's picture this morning already as I walked passed on my way to town.  I could see them putting the trusses up.

Saw a couple of young bucks at the apple tree.  They are the only deer I saw.

Lena and Pam were walking around town but too far away to say hi so we just waved.

Walked 5.5 miles

Food shopping day at Stop and Shop and only needed a few things so it didn't take long.

We were home for a little while and then had to leave again.  This time to go to the dentist which is right in town for our 6 month cleaning.  I like to get it over with so I go first.  Different going to the dentist this time with all the safety rules but all went well.

We were surprised and sad to find that Latisha is no longer the hygienist.  We both liked her so much. Very gentle, friendly, and so nice!!  The new hygienist was fine but not as gentle.

While it was Ken's turn I walked over to the library and dropped a DVD off at the library and then walked on over to the pond.  Walked around it once and then sat on a bench and did a little reading.  When Ken was done at the dentist he picked me up at the pond and we drove home.  Glad that is over for another 6 months.

That is sad when you lose a preferred hygienist. Now that is a great verse to come up with for kind. I totally overlooked that use of the word. Thank you!

I was not thinking of 'kind' in that way either...I immediately thought 'be ye kind, one to another.'

that is one long building going up!

...I have been see the same hygienist for several years now, she makes going to the dentist less dredded. We milk prices what they are today, seeing a new barn being built amazes me.

That was a different kind of "kind." ☺️ You are going to lose that sweet view of the barn. Hope that it is replaced with an equally pleasant one. So, obviously, you both got a great report! Well done.

I guess it takes some time for us to get used to all the new rules, but it can be done.

It is always nice to have another visit to the dentist done. Our dentist has two hygienists - one is really good, and one not so much - so I do know how you feel. Glad you had a good day and we will see you again soon!

Our dentist now does the work as you wait. You no longer have to go back a week later to collect one's teeth.

God bless.

Hello,

Love the views and photos. I miss my old hygienist, I have a new dentist too. The safety precautions at the dentist and doctor seem to be good. Take care, enjoy your day!

Great to see that you are still healthy and walking!!! It's a challenge for me to walk as much as I did until I have the surgery, but I do try to walk 2 or 3 miles every day most days. I have a dental visit coming up as well. too bad about the new hygeneist. I really like mine and have used her for years.

My dentist ending up leaving for another job closer to home. She was the best one I ever had. The new one is pretty good though.

I have postponed my six-month dental appointment for awhile; not sure when I’ll be going. Glad you were able to have yours done on schedule.

What a beautiful spot to sit and read! I just went to the dentist yesterday too. Had to wait in my car until they told me to come in. Everyone was so sober and so much care taken to keep things germ free. I overheard someone asking another, "Did the room get sprayed after the last patient?" And I wondered if the chair I was sitting in had just been sprayed before I took my place. :^/

Fun coincidence, I just had my teeth cleaned too and with a new hygienist. I think I will like her better though, she was very good at the deep cleaning stuff.

My brother is a dentist and he got a new hygienist a few years ago that was so rough on my mouth I was sore for a week and had several cancer sores from the injures she did to my gums! She's still there but I refuse to let her clean my teeth anymore! Luckily there is another one who is so much gentler!
