Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

BBQ

This morning when I left on my walk it was 58 degrees
a little sun at first but then cloudy.
Sunrise 6:22
Sunset 8:23
Nice that some of you told me the sunrise and set times where you
live.  Interesting to hear the differences.

A nice pleasant walk to town.
On the way before getting to the main road I counted 11 deer and 2 rabbits.
The birds were kind of quiet today.

Walked around the upper cemetery a few times.
Then down towards the Drane house

to say hi to my two bull friends.
Stopped to look at the Drane house garden which looks
to be doing well.  My rhubarb originally came from this garden.
One year I helped weed it and Sherry told me I could take some.

Then headed back up to the cemetery, walked around it once more
and then home.

Didn't see anyone else out this morning.

Walked 5.7 miles
Yesterday I forgot to mention that I found a dime.

🌤     🙂     ☁️

The weather looked a bit iffy but took a chance and hung the wash out on the line.
It was just about dried by the time it started raining.
I took it in and hung it on the drying rack.
Sun came out later but didn't bother hanging the clothes back out.

Ken finished making the BBQ this morning.
I've been making weave-it squares and finished all 70.
Started sewing the squares together.

Day 5 - Light

Psalm 27:1 KJV

The Lord is my LIGHT and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?

Thanks for Stopping by.
A happy day to you.

Love the looks of that garden...looks so healthy and well kept. And that last photo is a dandy. Not to mention the bulls.

Ken did a good job making the rustic BBQ.

Ken made a good BBQ... very clever. That garden looks like a weed wouldn't dare grow there!

That first photo with the red home in the backdrop just makes a feeling of down-home comfort and to top it off, the beautiful golden yellow flowers makes a perfect ending. Your work (Ken's) is super!

That’s a great BBQ! We only walk on our street; never have found any money! In the early evening when we sit in the back for a bit, we have seen as many as four bunnies hopping around.

Score one for Ken for his BBQ. Can't wait to see the latest weave it blanket. Nice Drane garden. I rarely find coins. An enjoyable walk for you.
