Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another day another walk

A mix of sun and clouds and 60 degrees this morning as I walked to town.
The sun is no longer shining at 6:15 in the morning as the
sun rises later and later each day.
Sunrise - 6:21

The morning moon

Here I'm just getting the main road and will turning left to
walk to town.  I'm 1.3 miles from home.

Walked straight through town and passed our old house and continued
up the road behind the house.
I've just turned around here and headed back home again.

Saw Rebecca as she was walking back to town and I was walking
out of town.

Only saw one rabbit this morning.
No deer at all.

Walked 5.6 miles

After breakfast we put our trash for the week in the back of the truck.
Then went up to the other end of Happy Trails to the wood shop
where Ken has been sorting through his 'junk' and got a bunch of
stuff loaded up from there to take to the dump too.

On the way back from the dump we stopped at the library
and I picked up a book and a DVD.

Home for lunch and then outside.
I did some more weeding.
Ken worked on his next little project of making
a fire pit/BBQ out back.
He will probably be done with it tomorrow if we have
another nice day.

Then is was time to sit on the front porch for a while.

We had BLT's for supper.

Day 5 - Jesus

Hebrews 12:2 KJV

 Looking unto JESUS the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before him
endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.

Your walks look so interesting . The sunshine is a welcome sight, although we sure could use a good rain right now.,

...I love all of the seasons, but I do prefer the longer daylight.

You two know how to enjoy your summer time on your property. Our sermon on Sunday was on that section of Hebrews. So good...
Thanks so much for sharing and participating.

Though I look forward to fall... I dread the real short days. In ways...in ways at least I feel ready to settle down for the night.

What DVD did you get from the library?

BLTs on the front porch sounds so good. I remembered to get some bacon and lettuce and forgot the tomatoes. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sunrise here was at 5:51 today. I wonder if the difference is because we're so much further North. I can't think of any other reason.
I went out the last 2 evenings to look for the full moon but was disappointed. Then, this morning what did I see but the moon in the western sky. It was no longer illuminated though.

Belts are Bud's favorite sandwich & we haven't had them in a long while. I'll have to fry up some bacon now. Make him happy. You have the most amazing walks...and scenery.

Auto correct changed my BLTs to belts? Amazing.

That golf ball in the first photo has been shot pretty high.

God bless.

Hello,

Love the photos and scenes during your walk. The first shot of the sky and moon is my favorite. We have some stuff to take to the dump, we just keep putting it off. Take care, have a great day!

Sunrise 6:07, temp 54 degrees here in the canyon. I just thought I would note that for you to see how different it is. I love you pictures, I love country roads and yours are so lovely. Sounds like you had a productive day. This is the only other blog where I have read about going to the dump. OH, and the sun is just now coming up over the mountains. And it is lovely outside as the heat will be gone for a few days.
