Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Friday

31 degrees and sunny during my morning walk.
Sunrise 6:56

Walked to town and this time walked around town.
I like walking down this road with the curved fence
that goes past the day care center.

Continued on to the ball park and walked that loop
a couple of times.

Behind the ball park loop there is a path in the woods along a small brook
and walked there this morning too.

Then headed back home.

Just me and the animals out this morning.
Didn't see any people and all was very quiet in town.

Walked 6 miles

☀️     ❤️     ☀️

I don't do a 'spring cleaning' but every so often get the urge
to do a very thorough cleaning of a room.
That happened today and it was the living rooms turn.
That took most of the morning.
Even moved furniture out of the way to clean behind it.
No dust bunnies hiding anywhere now.
Too bad it doesn't last longer!!
It does feel good to step back and see a room all tidy and clean.

Worked on the puzzle this afternoon and Ken helped for a while too.
Maybe tomorrow it will be finished.

Finished one book and started another.

Think I'll make some weave-it squares this evening.
I've gone through my yarn and picked out the next baby blanket colors.
This will be the May blanket.

Last night's old movie was
They Drive by Night.
I bought a DVD collection of all the Shirley Temple movies
quite a long time ago and have never watched them.
Tonight we are going to start watching them.
Starting with Baby Takes a Bow.
I used to watch Shirley Temple movies on TV with my
mother when I was a little girl.

That's all folks.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy and healthy day to you.

Hi Karen. Enjoy your old movie tonight. I haven't seen "They Drive By Night." Sounds like a horror movie. I will have to look it up. Sounds like your living room really got a thorough cleaning. I hope you have a good evening and I will see you again tomorrow.

I have never seen a Shirley Temple movie. I don't remember them being on TV but it's lovely that you can revisit the era when you watched them with your mother.

I loved Shirley Temple movies. Let us know if they hold up! ☺️ That’s a charming lane with the curved fence.

..Karen, it looks like you are having no problem staying away from others on your daily walks, lucky for you. Take care and stay safe.

I like that curved road, too. And would love that path. Hope you show a pic of the puzzle when it is finished.

I need to do some of that deep cleaning....

Thanks for sharing your walks. They are a welcome relief from the scary outside world now and very relaxing. Yes with so much available time, we can clean and clean. Thanks again. Have a great weekend!

How nice to see that sunshine. Sound like you got a lot done today. We got a bunch done, too. Mostly we watched other people get a lot done on our property. 2 trees down and 3 stumps ground! Happy weekend to you.

I don't remember the curved lane from previous posts...but I surely do like it! You got a great picture of it! I love your April blanket which you posted yesterday. The colors and block arrangement are so nice.

There is something about a curved lane that looks so inviting.
Now is a good time to deep clean our rooms. I am planning to tackle my laundry room which doubles as my office. I agree about wishing the results lasted longer, but it sure is nice right after it's done.
My mom loved Shirley Temple. Hope you enjoy the movies.

I remember watching Shirley Temple movies as a little girl and loving them. I need to do some cleaning around here if for no other reason than it will give me something to get me moving around more during our "stay at home" time.

I like the light that is shining on the fence. My siters used to watch Shirley Temple movies when we were young.
Have a great day!

Hello,

The fence scene is pretty. I remember as a child loving the Shirley Temple movies. I have not seen one in a long time. It seems like there is always cleaning to do. Take care and have a great weekend.

I drove into town this morning and walked too. Walked by a few people and if they didn't move farther away from me I either walked in the middle of the street or walked up a driveway a few feet to social distance!

That curved road and fence look wonderful. Makes me want to walk around there, just see what is hidden behind that curve.
