Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Colorful

Left the house walking at 6:35.
It wasn't dark but not really light yet either.
35 degrees, cloudy, and the wind has finally died down.
Sunrise 7:00

Walked to town but just to the edge of it where the
cemeteries are located and walked around both of them.
Saw a few deer and some rabbits too.
The rabbits were chasing each other so there may be
some little ones around soon too.
Here's me again in the mirror at the cemetery.
You can see the barn where I walked down to in the mirror too.
Had a few layers of clothing on which make me look
10 pounds fatter than I am.
Aren't I colorful! : )
I like to wear bright colors so cars have no trouble seeing me.
Went down to the barn near the Drane house because I thought I saw
the bulls down there.
These two were the only ones out eating, but
it you look close you can see another one in the doorway.
Rebecca was out walking and I saw another man off in
the distance walking a dog.

On the way home I saw a few red winged blackbirds.

Walked 6 miles

First thing this morning after breakfast we went to the Shop and Save
for our weekly shopping.
There were only 5 other people shopping in the store.

Gave the cross stitch a rest today to read and work on the puzzle.

I have the next 70 squares done for a baby blanket and figured
out the pattern for it and started sewing them together.
I'm going to keep making one a month and when
we can have a Baby Blanket work day at church
the blankets will be ready to go.
This one will be for the month of April so I'm already ahead.

Ken made the supper tonight.
Hot ham and cheese sandwiches with the left over potato salad.

We've been watching old movies in the evenings that we have
sitting around.  Watched 4 Ma and Pa Kettle movies.
Corny but funny and we enjoyed them.
Tonight for our viewing pleasure we will be watching
Finding Nemo.

That's all folks.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy and healthy day to you.

GrannyM - You are right about the forsythia from yesterday - there are 4 bushes there all grown together.  I counted them today.

Colorful you are but fat you are not! "Finding Nemo" is such a good movie.

I haven't watched Ma and Pa Kettle for years.. Good clean fun. :-) You will have a lot of baby blankets ready once you can start meeting again. Hope you have a good evening.

You look darling and I am glad that you walk safely. Funny about the rabbits chasing each other...ditto with the squirrels lately. Nice to see the bulls out enjoying the day.

...coat and vests like that are a great color, we went for a short drive this evening and many walkers aren't dressed properly for walking along the road! Stay safe in more than one way!

I checked all the streaming services we had and did not find Ma and Pa Kettle...I would enjoy them. Had not thought of them in years. But I have not checked Youtube...I will try to think and look there. I stopped at our local grocery and there were maybe 6 or 8 people in there. Got potatoes and cheese, and a few other items. I did not look about TP or any of that. Maye I should have.

We walked 1.8 miles today. It was supposed to rain all day so we weren't planning to walk, but then the sun came out so off we went! We've been watching Boston Legal... it's amusing and we need that right now.

Finding Nemo sounds like just the sort of distraction that would be good now! Love the picture of you in the mirror! Stay well!

Nice bright clothing for walking- a good idea. I do not watch TV - I've a lot of DVDs though- I do not watch them much. My favored Movies are peaceful - like 'Hans Christain Anderson' staring Danny Kaye. I occupy myself with making models from cardboard and such. Stay well there.

Is that you taking a photo of the mirror, or the reflection in the mirror taking a photo of you?

God bless.

You're funny saying that you look ten pounds fatter in your bright bundling! That made me laugh!

Great idea to wear colorful clothing, it was little cool there today, we have been having very warm weather so we have been able to get a lot of chores done.
I enjoy when my dh cooks, he makes the best grilled cheese sandwiches ever!
Your hands are alway so busy creating many
beautiful treasures, I am still looking at my cross stitch, it so hard for me to stay in when the weather is warm.
Thanks for sharing, stay well and safe.
Blessings,
Sue

You are smart to wear bright clothing when you walk. I see people walking on the side of the road sometimes dressed in black or grey. Makes me nervous for them!

All the best Jan
