Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Left the house this morning walking at 7:15.
Just down the road I turned around and saw this pretty sky.
It only lasted a couple of minutes before it was gone.

The temperature was 31 degrees, cloudy, with a bit of a wind.
Sunrise 7:31

Walked to town and around the lower cemetery.
Then back to the main road and through town.
Continued around town and then headed back home.

Didn't see any people or animals, just cars, trucks and school buses.

Here the sun tries to peek through the clouds but never makes it.

Walked my usual 6 miles

☁️     🌧     ☁️

We got a call saying the service on the tractor was done so
Ken hooked up the trailer and we went to pick it up.
By that time it was raining, but all went well
and the tractor is back home, ready and waiting to get to work.
 Now we need better weather!

By the time that was all done the morning had disappeared.

Ken had a book to pick up at the library that was on hold for him.
He's been reading Anne Rule books.
I went with him but stayed in the truck.
Knew if I went inside I'd come out with more books
and there are 5 books here at home piled up for me to read.
This afternoon I was busy with some house cleaning.
Then read some and made a few weave-it squares with
the new yarn I got the other day.
I think 2 skeins will be enough for a baby blanket.
The third skein will be used for another one of those scarves.
Carol really liked the one I made for her and so did my friend Tricia.
So this next scarf will be for Tricia.

Today I cancelled Netflix - both the DVD's and the streaming.
We've been getting things to watch from the library,
we own some of our favorite shows to watch
and also we've been finding shows on YouTube.

It's been a good day.  Didn't get to do all the things I
wanted to do but there is always tomorrow.
(God willing)

A happy day to you.
Thanks for stopping by.

I like that first photo with the red farm buildings, you walk in gorgeous scenery. I have lots of books to read too, on my TBR shelves.

We have been debating about getting Netflix, but Charly is a collector and usually buys the DVD of the movies and series he enjoys. We should try the library too. Haven't done that much. Glad you got your tractor back. I am curious about what big jobs await Ken and the tractor when the weather gets better. Hope you have a good weekend. That was a beautiful sun rise. The really stunning sunrises and sunsets only last a moment. See you tomorrow!

The tractor with the bail on front...first thought was 'Now is he coming or going?' LOL At least your tractor is home...ready for spring work.

I watch a lot of stuff on youtube...so much stuff about anything you want. But what I watch is usually quilt stuff. Watched a couple or three mysteries last week, and the week before.

That sky is so pretty. We have had two days of solid overcast now. I'm ready to see some sunshine again.

I noticed in your first picture that most of your snow is gone now. I haven't gone back to look, but I seem to remember your having more last year. But, of course, there's still a lot of winter left. We have had a cold week, with a bit of snow, but mostly sleet and freezing rain (not my favorite). I love your pictures today!

Hello,

Lovely sunrise and sky views. I have a few library ebooks on my kindle now I need to finish reading. We were given 2 free years of Netflix with our Comcast account but I hardly ever find anything on Netflix to watch. I think when the free Netflix is over we will cancel too. Happy weekend to you!

It is true that You Tube has a wealth of programming. I enjoy watching cooking and decluttering videos. 😶

WoW! Karen, I am amazed at all of the thinks you and Ken accomplish in a day, as always you are my motivator. I haven't walked a lot this week, which i have missed, we are going home today, with sunshine and 70. temps. Once Dh is settled in I am planning to take a shower, a much needed nap, and then a walk.~smile~
Thank you for visiting and for your kind thoughts and prayers.
Blessings,
Sue

You could be an inspirations for anyone's New Year's resolution to live a healthier life. For me it will mean, read your blog the get out there and move, just do it! Sounds like all is going well in your life, I've been gone for a while and am catching up with everyone.

You captured a beautiful sky just in time to see the colour. I just finished an Ann Rule book a couple of weeks ago.
Have a nice day!
