Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another project

Out of the house and walking at 6:45.
27 degrees, clear, and calm.
Sunrise 7:02

Walked to town and went to the library.
Dropped a CD down the slot.
(show called Mum)

From there walked over to the ball park
and walked that loop

I noticed the town Christmas decorations sitting at the
bottom of the telephone poles along the main street
all ready to be put up.  Guess they will be doing that today.

Continued walking over to the town pond and walked around it.

Then headed back home.

Saw three deer on the way to town.

Walked 6 miles

Late morning we went with the dump trailer and got a load
of gravel and spread it out at the site of our next project,
a 10 x 20 building work shop for Ken closer to the house.
We will at least get it started this year and finish it in the spring.

This is the building site.
In the trailer sits 2 ton of stone.
Doesn't look like much does it!?

As you can see that load of stone didn't go very far.
Probably 2 more loads of stone will be needed.

Read this afternoon and made some more weave-it squares.
Have a real good start on the next blanket!!

That's it for now.
A happy day to you.
Thanks for stopping by.

My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither,
but just enjoy your ice cream while it's on your plate.

I am always amazed at how little two ton of gravel or rock is. I used to go get some in the truck...years ago. And still am surprised every time. It will be nice for Ken to have a shop nearer your home.

You're right, two tons of rocks don't amount to as much as one would think!! Good idea to get at least a start on the new workshop this Fall.

You guys just never quit!

...gravel is a strange thing, it never looks like much until you have to shovel it. We just finished a garage addition for my daughter, it took 85 tons! Enjoy your weekend Karen.

You and Ken seem to enjoy working together and that is so good to see. Projects are so much more fun when done together with someone.

Ken loves a good project! I think you do, too. I think I do as well. It’s just that mine are getting smaller. It’s nice to see your sidewalks clear. Ours are pretty icy still, though we had a 40° day today and some melting happened.

Lovely photos. I especially like the first one. You and Ken are very industrious with all the projects you do. You are right that the 2 tons of stone doesn't look like much. Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Karen - Good to see You and Ken getting another Project underway- yes, the trailer load of rock gravel didn't go far...I recently bought 120kg of River Sand and when I made a pile -it does not look very much...though 1/2 a Ton would have been too much for me. Cheers. KEV.

It looks very cold where you are. Snow still there.

God bless.

Wow. Another project. Do you have a grand plan for the property or do you just think stuff up on the go.

It is so beautiful there around Happy Trails. I always love seeing your place. Gravel sure doesn't go far. We could use a dump-truck load on our muddy road out front.
