Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Dry Wishing Well

Another warm morning at 66 degrees.
Got tired of waiting for it to get light enough walk from home
so at 6:35 I hopped in the car and drove to town.
A mix of sun and clouds once the sun rose.
Sunrise 7:14

Saw a few deer running along the corn field edge when I
drove by on the way to town.
Glad I went slow because they cut right in front of me.

Walked all over the place in town.
Up and down all the streets,
around the ball park loop and both cemeteries too.

Remember the wishing well?
Walked up to it again and looked inside.
No water to toss coins into when you make a wish.
There is a box with a slit but somehow that's just not the same.
Lisa was out running again.
Back at the car to head home, Kathy was just driving in to town
to start her walk.
Nice having a little chat with her and get caught up.

Walked 6 miles
Found a quarter
(Victor - that is like 25 pennies)  🙂
🍁     🌤
Nice sunny day with a breeze, good for drying clothes out on the line.
Did a few chores around the house.

We went out and got a few errands done.

Afternoon was spent outside.
Helped Ken harvest some more rocks for his wall.
By afternoon that breeze turned into a pretty good wind.
Leaves were coming off the trees in bunches at a time.
Sure felt like Fall today.

Hope your day was a happy one.

Beautiful leaves! Finally turning cool on Friday. I can't wait. My favorite time of the year to walk and go for hikes.

Beautiful coloured leaves in that first picture.

Today is supposed to be the last hot day of the year; guess I'll believe it when it happens. Your first picture is definitely fall color at its best. I hope those leaves didn't fall today.

Here it was 5C this morning (40F). Cloudy but no rain all day in spite of the forecast ( which is still saying rain). Sure glad you didn't hit those deer that cut in front of you this morning.

Those leave have so much color...they are so beautiful. I see a few bits of color here that is vivid color but not quite like this. I am so anxious for it, but am so afraid the leaves are going to fall without ever getting beautiful.

That is brilliant. 25 pennies. I think that's the most you have found in one go. It will be a dollar next. Do you have one dollar coins in the USA? We have a £1 and a £2 coins.

God bless.

Hi Karen- The Leaves of Autumn- so colorful. We're just past the middle of Spring and the Days are warming up - tomorrow the temperature is forecast to reach 36Deg C...which is more like Summer. Anyway- have a great weekend there- we're praying for rain as it is very much needed to break the Drought. Cheers. KEV.
